will be making a rare live appearance at hollywood park tonight. here's my take, take it for what it's worth.
Race 1: boca dream. looks like the lone speed from the inside and the turf course has been playing fair to all runners of late. won't get rich, but she looks like a solid single in the early double.
Race 4: cellar-dweller turf claimers sprint in here and i like the look for the comebacking mcmanus. this field looks rather counterfeit, and if you can get by the deteriorating vodka and tonic, you've got a chance to hit this race at a big price. jory usually saves his best for hollywood and i'll take a live longshot in this wide=open scramble.
Race 6: Not Phone finished like a wild horse last time, putting in a sub 24 final quarter and looks like a total standout in here with a legitimate pace to chase. don't like the race quite careless and storm signal exit, so will play this one with albatros.
Race 7: Styler. gave out 20/1 shot siphon honey last time, but i think styler is going to be a star. may have trouble running down siphon' today, but that one is facing slightly more pace pressure in this allowance race.
Race 8: Perfect Miss. this one got a sad ride last time from cc lopez, who, as predicted on this board, has moved his tack back to the east coast (see my thread on his god awful ride on van rouge back on april 18th). bye bye cc. anyway, now we get top notch flores, and she looks to be second or third choice in here. she's my choice in the night cap.
