The college football players will do more risky behavior if they have a full free season. That's a fact. Why would you argue against a fact?

They'd also have more time to visit their grandparents. Which they would visit more often, if they aren't busy 12 hours a day with football activities and meetings.

OTOH, playing football they will have more time with immune compromised coaches, refs, trainers, players, & old "high risk" grandparent aged guys like Saban, etc. Additionally in practices & games they will have droplets & saliva flying everywhere while they butt heads in intimate contact with other players & roll around on the ground with them.

Outside of football they have the choice to avoid "high risk" situations such as that. Playing football they definitely do not & are forced into "high risk" stuff. That's the difference & it's huge.

An unholy circle-wank of government overreaction, gleefully hysterical MSM, and medical & scientific advisors rather liking the unfamiliar limelight.

No wonder the poor bloody citizens are provisioning for the end of the world.

Illinois unemployment rate: 14.6% (severe lockdown)

Kentucky unemployment rate: 4.3% (no severe lockdown)

No difference at all to the economy. :):)

at 68 yrs old Saban is high risk?? Nope, just more fear mongering.

He has a 2.8% chance of being hospitalized if he contracts Covid.
He has a 1.0% chance of dying if he contracts Covid.

These stats are from the Mass government Covid dashboard which is updated daily. They do a great job with this download.

Yes, Saban is at very high risk, relative to any healthy player on his team, for example.

That's the point.

And a 1% chance of dying if he gets C-19 is scary. Considering how easy it is to get infected, especially when being around dozens of other people.

But, then, maybe Saban is ignorant that he's high risk, or, maybe he cares so much about his immortal legacy (i.e. vanity) so much that he doesn't care, eh?

Way less because he is healthy for his age. The stat includes severely ill people at 68, those are the ones that die, the ones that are already bedridden.

Saban's chance of dying is not 1% you fool. Line up all of the 68 people and you'll see why he's not near 1%. That list would include people with multiple severe health conditions, people confined to wheel chairs or their beds.

I didn't say Saban's chance of dying is 1%. Nobody here knows how healthy he is, except God. Yet you pretend that you do.

The fact remains, as per my point, that he is "high risk" due to his age.

He IS NOT high risk, maybe that’s why he wants to play.

1% is quite literally the opposite of high risk no matter what opinion you have.
Nice try though

I don’t know how healthy Saban is, I’m not his doctor. I’m going off straight statistics. Facts.
I don’t form opinions or take guesses at peoples medical conditions.

point is, no matter how many times you explain it to people they just don’t come off their retarded incorrect stance. X is embarrassing. But what else should I expect, he picked his name from a TV show that instilled fear of aliens and boogeymen in its viewers lol.

Btw, I personally don’t disagree with you. If he’s a picture of health than the 1% drops to almost zero.

Compared to .1% or .01%, 1% is high risk.

Compared to a 5 year old a 65 year old is high risk.

That's what people mean when they say certain groups are "high risk" re C-19.

It's just common lingo.

Maybe if you read more articles on the subject of C-19 you will see this.

If not, i can't help it if people don't believe the facts or understand what is meant by the lingo.

"As you get older, your risk for severe illness from COVID-19 increases. For example, people in their 50s are at higher risk for severe illness than people in their 40s. Similarly, people in their 60s or 70s are, in general, at higher risk for severe illness than people in their 50s."

Saban's chances of dying from cancer are higher than his chances of dying from Covid19.

Since we know the sun causes cancer, why doesn't Saban hunker underground?

Since we know processed food causes cancer, why doesn't Saban just have a food paste injected into him through a feeding tube in his underground bunker?

Go fuck yourself, that's why he doesn't.
