NHL Thursday lines out at any book yet?

Waiting patiently for Thursday's lines. Going to start off the season with a big bet: Red Wings to beat the Leafs in the Wings home opener, Stanley Cup banner going up.

Wings will not lose that game, they should be at least -250 ML faves. I rarely play huge faves like that, but I'll make an exception.

I'd lay off the Wings for that very reason. They will be massive favorites. Maybe take the PL because they should win easily, and even if it's close you have the empty netter at the end to save you.

A game I'm looking at for day 1 is San Jose at home against Anaheim. Hopefully they're around -130 favorites and nothing more. Boston could be a good play @ Colorado to start the season also.

Seems if you are set on using DET at big fave price, it might be useful to put them in a 2TeamParlay using a moneyline Dog from either MLB, CFB or NFL during Thu-Sun schedule.

By playing a 2TeamParlay, you reduce your exposure and if you're correct about DET then you get the second leg of the parlay paying a nice bump compared to having bet it straight.

The odds have been released by our government operated sports lottery and they have the Detroit Red Wings as a -285 favourite which leads me to believe the books will open detroit as a -260 to -275 ish favourite.

leafs are terrible, and im usually cautious with games like this, where great teams usually dont get so pumped up to play a crappy team and usually come out lackluster... so im hoping the ring ceremony gets them pumped enough to rock them....
PL is probably a safer play imo

Yes these two teams play under a lot. That would explain the high juiced low total.
