Might add one more. Nice 8-2 run the last couple days to continue the good start to the season. Losing Palmieri for 6-8 weeks is a big loss for the Islanders. I think they will start to feel that beginning in this game. GL

I don’t love the slate tonight. I like Detroit, but I don’t want to lay -185. You can decide if you prefer this route or taking them -1.5 on the puckline. I decided to bet them on the 60 min line, it’s up to you. Little revenge spot for them after losing to Boston their last time out. GL

I think there is value on the Blue Jackets and Blackhawks based on the prices. I just don’t like the spots, with both teams coming off road losses and playing on the road again tonight. GL

I am expecting a little extra motivation from Tampa. They lost to the Islanders twice last week, 2-0 and 2-1. It’s hard to beat someone three times in a week and a half. Tampa is a good team. Everyone wants to bet the Islanders right now because they have beaten some good teams lately. I will go the other way and take Tampa to finally beat the Islanders this month.
I don’t bet many totals at all. I like the opportunity to get this under at plus money. The Rangers have scored 12 combined goals in their last six games. 21 of their 32 games have gone under this season. I will take a shot on profiting off the Rangers continued offensive mediocrity.
Lastly, these are the situations I want to bet Chicago. It’s not when everyone is betting on them and all of a sudden they have gone from +120 to -115. I want them as dogs when the price is juicy and expectations are low. While they should be underdogs in this game, I don’t think they should be +160. This might go up even more over the course of the day if you want to wait. I’m getting these bets in now because I’m going to be focused on college sports tomorrow when I have time. Regardless, I would play Chicago at +150 or better. They are no stranger to winning as dogs. I believe all 13 wins have come as underdogs and there have been a handful at +150 odds or better. You have to pick your spots with teams like Chicago, Buffalo or Calgary and I think this is a favorable one at price. GL
