The Conroy hooking penalties were ridiculous for a playoff game. That was bad enough.

But missing an obvious goal that would have surely clinched the Cup for Calgary makes me ****ing sick. I'm inconsolable.

The ENTIRE puck has to be across the line, thats the rule right?

Now, does this mean just the part touching the ice, OR THE ENTIRE PUCK.

What is the ruling here??

If the ENTIRE puck includes part of the puck that is OFF the ice...........this is NOT A GAOL.

i guess it's safe to say chachi boy had the Flames. Whole puck must cross the line, but in this angle, it is INCONCLUSIVE. You cannot decide a CUP that way...

The ABC commentator and the Tampa Tribune hockey writer thought it was obvious.

Calgary almost won it on a power play midway through the third, but Nikolai Khabibulin stuck out his right leg to stop Martin Gelinas' rebound attempt perilously close to the goal line. Multiple TV replays did not conclusively show the puck crossing the line.

''It's got to be conclusive,'' Sutter said. ''I looked at it from two different angles, and unless they have a different one, you can't say that it's a goal.

''We reviewed a number of camera angles and only one showed the puck,'' NHL director of hockey operations Colin Campbell said. ''From that angle, it was inconclusive whether the puck crossed the goal line ... there was insufficient evidence.''

They would have had to stop the play and review it then. However they didn't stop and review it, they just started with a face off. As soon as that puck hit the ice it was over. Of course the NHL is going to say it was inconclusive regardless if it was or not. I personally don't think it was a goal and I'm routing for the Flames seeing how we haven't had the cup north of the boarder in eleven years.

Right, those two borderline (chicken shit of a call) penalties in the opening two minutes of game 4 wasn't "a break." Just happened to lead to the only goal in a 1-0 Bolt steal.

The first break? Are you ****ing kidding me?

You would have to be blind not to see that goal fully over the line!

I strongly disagree, Tampa has had help in this series. I'm really starting to see what Sutter is talking about.

EG, scorers in the likes of Vinnie Lecavalier & Martin St. Louis don't just suddenly disappear for 6 straight games. Solid defense is one thing, but.........

I think Vinnie suffered a concussion after that bording call.

He hasn't looked like the great player that he was all year.

as disappointed as I am about last nite's hockey game, I have yet to see any CONCLUSIVE evidence that the puck crossed the line...the puck is in the air...but the entire puck needs to cross the line...It is not like foot ball where it must simply touch the imaginary 'plane of glass'....it must cross the entire Line...Big difference here folks...it surely touched the plane but I did not see CONCLUSIVELY that it went past it...

Of course their is no CONCLUSIVE eveidence that IT DID NOT...however the rules dictate that the overturning evidence must be CONCLUSIVE...

A few years ago with Buffallo was a completely different story however...I do not feel anybody is to blame for last nite's call...
