Hope the party went well.
No good system plays this week for me (which might be a good thing), so it's back to capping. Along with Tenny, I think I'll be tailing your San Fran play. Good value there when you compare rushing and passing stats over at KillerStats, plus New Orleans has a few key injury problems. It worries me a little that SF stats might be a bit skewed due to their wins over relatively weak opponents (Detroit and Seatle) and would feel better if they were playing at home, but, nonetheless I like it.
As far as your other plays, and you probably already know this, but the Cards stayed on the east coast after losing to Washington last week so the old "3 time zone rule" may not play as much of a roll. Not sure if I'm going to play that one, but GL to you.
And DEN-9.5 is tough to argue with. KC is a mess.
The only other game I'm considering this week is Buffalo-8. St. Louis seems to be in full meltdown mode right now. If you get a chance and see any serious pitfalls with this one, I'd be interested in your thoughts.
BOL this week, my friend.
Thanks AJ. I really do like that SF play a lot and I wish I had hit it harder. It probably deserved a 2* rating and I am tempted to move it up to a 2* even though most outs have it at +4 now.
And yes, I thought ARI staying on the eastern seaboard was a fantastic move when I first heard about it. That's what made me ignore their terrible past with road games and east coast visits in particular. This game I will most certainly be upgrading to a 2* play later tonight.
DEN looks solid, especially when you consider that Shanahan has no conscious when it comes to running up the score on rivals or adding late game points in any contest....the only worry I have at all in this one if KC is successful running the ball (DEN is giving up 106 ypg rushing) then the scoring could be a bit less prolific for DEN. We know that KC has to be gameplanning the rush attack ~ their only hope in keeping the DEN offense off the filed is by spinning the clock ~ and L.J. complained about not getting the ball last week and got the ball (and ran well).
As far as BUF, I whole-heartedly agree. STL is a mess and is literally coming apart at the seams. The locker room is split and angry over Bulger getting benched. The coaching staff has lost a lot of players' support, trust and confidence (Holt, Bulger, Jackson to name the big ones). So yes, this certainly looks like it will be another ass kicking for STL. However....I am hesitant to play BUF for some reason. I have no eloquent explaination why though AJ. I really don't. No facts, no strong reasons or anything. I just have not been able to pull the trigger. I will give it some more thought and if anything worth mentioning occurs, I will comment further. I guess this could be like the GB/DET game when I told you to avoid that one. To some degree I was right with DET storming back late to take the lead. But then again, two Kitna INTs after that DET comeback ended up giving the game right back to GB and they ended up being a safe play after all. So ultimately I cost you $$ on that one buddy. So please follow your own intuition if you love BUF this week. BOL with wahtever you decide and all your action my friend!
I will be posting more plays in a few minutes.
