Pitt @ Baltimore -2 1/2 (1)
Pitt opened at home with a 30-27 w over the Browns. The D seemed to wear down in the 2nd half along with the offense going stagnant in the 2nd half. Probably conditioning for the D and being to conservative in the 2nd half for the O. Baltimore lost to Cincy 23-16 in a back and forth sort of game. The Baltimore D gave up a lot of yardage but buckled down when they had to giving up only 1 TD and the rest fg's. Baltimore only 1-4 ats last 5 home games. The positive is Baltimore 20-5 straight up last 25 home games. Pitt ar 3-8 straight up last 11 at Baltimore. So sort of betting on the home team and hoping Baltimore doesn't lose two in a row.
Pats -3 @ Minny (2)
The Pats failed to win a opener for the first time in 11 years. Can they make it two straight losses? Certainly a possibility. I'm not convinced that Brady is ready for a season like that yet. Miami is a pretty good young football team on the rise. So last week did not surprise me one bit. This week it would surprise me if the Pats lost. DOn't put two much stock in the Vikes win over a Rams team that was devastated when their starting QB went down last preseason game. That affects the D when the O can't move the chains and your constantly on the field. Vikings had some nice stats on the ground and this could be a high scoring game. Also scary betting on the Pats who are 1-7 ats last 8 on the road. How are they favored? Must be more reasons more than being a public betting team. Minnesota is 6-11-1 last 18 games straight up and the Pats are 16-7 straight up last 23 games. So sucker me in because I really like them to remind the Vikes that there not back all the way yet!
Rams @ TB under 37 (1)
Only a unit play but until the Rams show me something on O I'll take the under in their games if warranted. TB lost 20-14 (34 tp) and Rams 34-6 (40 tp) in week 1 in a very poor display from both offenses. If not for the Panthers giving ground late in the 4th TB wouldn't have scored as many as they did late in the 4th. Rams have gone under 5 straight games. TB have gone under 5 out of the last 7 games. I'm hoping both teams try to establish some run offense as the Rams had 72 ry and TB 102 ry.
Seattle @ San Diego +6 (1)
I played Seattle at home in game 1 and was very pleased with the results and their performance. San Diego lost a tough one by 18-17 score on the road to Zona. Zona really becoming a very tough place to play. Seattle has the edge in every stat in this matchup. One thing they don't have though, that is the luxury of playing at home. Not only that, they now have to play a Charger team IMHOP that is very good. They played bad and made some costly mistakes in their opener. Everyone jumping on the Seattle band wagon again and they are one of the best teams if not the best, but should never be a 6 point favorite over a pretty decent team with a veteran qb at the helm. It wouldn't surprise me if this is a fg game one way or the other.
