Will tally up my record after their Monday night Denver vs Bengals game.........

Week 17 has opportunities for the Steelers to get into the playoffs while the Jets pack their bags & go home, that's a big "if" Steelers beat the Browns & Jets lose to the Bills.

Steelers controlled their own destiny by just besting the hopeless Ravens, yes the team w/o Flacco & most of their offensive starters......just goes to show you, nothing is a lock in the NFL.

The Eagles controlled their own destiny as well, & they blew it also.......the Chiefs & Jets were the only teams to win in the AFC to do what they needed to do.......the Pats lost to the Jets, & need to win in Miami to solidify their #1 seed in the AFC.

The Jets control their own playoff destiny just by beating the Bills in week 17........will they beat them?

The Skins won the NFC East crown & are in the playoffs.......yes, the Skins are hosting a playoff game!

Can Atlanta still make the playoffs if Seattle loses to the Cards? Unreal how 2 double digit favs lost SU, the Steelers & Seahawks who controlled their own destiny lost SU.......Seattle lost SU at home, yes......at home!

The Vikings won easy Sunday night, & now are 10-5.......they play at Gbay 10-5 on Sunday night......winner takes the division crown.

The Vikings have locked in a playoff spot, as did Gbay........if the Vikings lose to Gbay, & Seattle beats the Cards, Seattle gets the #5 seed & Vikings #6 seed.

But if Seattle loses to the Cards & finish 9-7, & Atlanta wins vs Saints, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Atlanta gets in at the #6 seed?

If the Vikings beat Gbay, the Vikings win the divisision title, & Gbay would drop to #5 seed.......& the #6 seed would be left to either Atlanta or Seattle.

So we have some very exciting games happening week 17........I'm sti waiting for lines to come out, but I will be betting 4 games this week for very big amounts.

I wish everyone a very Happy & profitable New Year!

At 9-6, the Seahawks have already clinched a spot in the 2016 NFL Playoffs. Depending on how the Week 17 game goes against the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks could become the No. 5 seed again or remain in the No. 6 slot. The other teams already in the NFC Playoffs are the Carolina Panthers (14-1), Arizona Cardinals (13-2), Green Bay Packers (10-5), Minnesota Vikings (10-5), and Washington Redskins (8-7). The only team that has an official seed is Washington at No. 4. Everything else is up in the air for Week 17.

Two Week 17 games are very important for the Seattle Seahawks’ playoff scenarios. They are the Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers. As coincidence would have it, the Seahawks and Cardinals play at 1:25 p.m. PT, followed by the Vikings and Packers at 5:30 p.m. PT. If Minnesota wins this game, it doesn’t even matter how the Seahawks game turns out, because the seeding will be set based on the results against the Packers.

(Copied & pasted the above).......so Atlanta is out of the playoffs........Seattle is locked in.......

Maybe its recency bias, but these double digit dogs look really good -- inflated lines. TB +11.5? Cle +10?

Double digit dogs got blown out in week 15......then the whole world, ESPN & every other sports media outlet was saying how great Seattle & the Steelers are & how they both are the hottest teams going into the playoffs.

They were saying how nobody wants to meet Seattle or the red hot Steelers come playoff time.......what happened? Most people got suckered in, inuding myself, & we saw both double digit favs lose SU........pay close attention to see how ESPN & the media spins it.

Week 15, double digit favs covered.......week 16 they both lost SU, & Seattle who had won & covered 5 str lost SU to the divisional Rams.......& Steelers lost to their division opponent as well......makes you think.

Week 17 double digit favs:

Carolina -11 vs Tampa........Carolina can lose their #1 seed with a loss & a Cards win over Seattle.

Steelers again a double digit road fav, & correct me if I'm wrong, but Steelers haven't covered as a DD road fav since 1985........& I'm taking them once more at a Pk in a teaser.......a division game as well.......big Ben is 18-3 SU in his NFL career when playing in the state of Ohio.........go Steelers, get the SU win!

Patriots will probably be a DD road fav as well at Miami.............another divisional matchup.

This will be a fun week breaking all these games down..........

X-Large: 83-100......(I lost all 6 teasers in week 16.......I believe 50 of those 100 loses were teasers, unreal, next year I will have to control myself & not play them)

Large: 60-47

Time change on Carolina/Tampa game.......

Vegas isn't stupid, the only reason the game time is changed is they don't wanna get crushed from the bets coming in on the Seattle/Cards game at 4:25/.........once you know Carolinas result, you could unload knowing if Carolina won, the Cards wont be plating their starters......the NFL is shady as sh*t!

5 games start late this week......we should be so lucky to have 5 games every week start late during the regular season.

Looking at a ML parlay.......Steelers ML......Patriots ML........Carolina ML............

Oh yeah......I even had them penciled in to win their division from 3 to 4 weeks ago, just thought Luck had nothing to provide his team this season.......

The Texans really played well last week.......

I haven't read it anywhere but I was told Brees won't play Sunday. Looking around for confirmation.

If so, should the spread jump up to like +9?

Is he worth 5 points? I still haven't seen that news posted anywhere. I would think if true it would be on ESPN or something.

I texted my friend, he says he's more sure of Manning not playing at all the rest of the season than he is about Brees not playing this week......we shall see......

It looks like Osweiler will play from what I've read, and I still haven't read anything about Brees.

Some trends:

Double digit road favs are 6-22 ATS since 2009.......

Big Ben is 10-0 SU & 8-2 ATS in his last game of the season.........

Browns are 1-8 SU & ATS in their last home game.........

This Pitt game is tough to bet on with the spread involved.........

Patriots are -10.5 at Miami.......

Steelers -10 at Browns.......

I think Miami keeps it close..........

Adding:

Miami +10.5 (-105)........(Large)

I think Steelers win SU, can't figure out the spread tho .....no way am I betting the Browns, especially with Pitt needing to win........then again, Pitt needed to win last week & didn't.

I think MIA +10.5 might be the strong play. I am going to try the UNDER. The Pats are more worried about health than the #1 seed (especially since if the Broncos get the 1 seed they could well lose to KC or NYJ or Pitt). I think they will take a lead and than play super conservative down the road. Running on third and long. Huddling up instead of running 2-minute offenses. I will either take the UNDER or the 2nd half UNDER. But I don't expect the Pats to even try to score 30.

Adding:

Bills +3 (-110)..........((Large)

Bills ML (+145)........(Large)

Bills knock the Jets out of the playoffs........the Steelers sneak into the playoffs by beating the Browns after their debacle at Baltimore last week.
