This is the Jets playoff game and they would like nothing more than to knock off these Patriots and cost them home field through out AFC Playoffs. Take Jets +3

heh, they may want the win, but the Pats are vastly superior to them and should win easily. Pats 24 Jets 10

Oren: Have the Pats clinched homefield advantage yet? If they have they will not play their regulars all game.

I don't think they have, don't they only have a 1 game lead? They're tied with KC and have a 1 game lead on Indy, not sure if they win the tie-breaker or not, but I'd think they're going to want to hold on to that lead and go out there and dominate the Jets the way they're capable of.

Yeah, they have clinched their division, but they also want the 1st round bye.

"New England can clinch first-round bye with:

1) IND loss, OR
2) NE win or tie + IND tie"

If they clinch it this weekend by all means bet against them next week.

They're lso playing on Saturday and Indy is playing Denver on Sunday so they won't know the outcome of that game. My opinion is they come out fired up on Saturday, which, will be a prime-time game as well.

more on homefield advantage:"

"No team has had more of a homefield advantage this season than the New England Patriots.

They would like to put that advantage to use throughout the playoffs.

The Patriots, winners of a franchise-record 10 straight, hope to move closer to the top seed in the AFC when they visit the rival New York Jets on Saturday night.

With two games left in the regular season, AFC East champion New England can secure home-field advantage throughout the postseason with wins over the Jets and at home against Buffalo on Dec. 27. The Patriots, already assured of hosting at least one playoff game, share the AFC's best record with Kansas City but own the tiebreaker over the Chiefs.

All New England Bettors: Repeat after me.

"I am a square. I have lost, will lose, and will continue to lose unless I avoid these obvious wrong sides in my betting."

All the Patriot bettors are going to deny that they didn't have the 2 loss Titans two weeks ago IN EXACTLY THE SAME SITUATION laying 3 at the Jets. CRUNCH. Jets go up 24-10 and win by 7 after a late Titan score.

But you say these Patriots are a much better team, than the Titans right? WRONG. Mare misses a short fg, otherwise they lose ON THAT PLAY in Miami. The only reason they won in Indy was all those special team return fumbles. Don't even get me started on the lucky Denver win, or the two "impressive" wins in snowstorms vs. Florida teams.

The stats and emotions are what matters. NE gains 4.8 ypplay. They give up 4.4. They have the stats of a 10-6 team. The Jets gain 5.4 ypplay. They give up 5.0. You may argue NE is improving, but it's the Jets Stats that keep getting better. The Jets also are playing like a 10-6 team.

This is the Jets' SBowl. NE is playing for HFA (just like Tenn was playing for). The Jets are a comparable team statistically, with more motivation, playing at home, GETTING the fg.

Ps. I always get a kick out of how people ignore how good a team really is, and just value teams by what their record is. A sure fire way to consistently lose in the NFL.

Fezzick, if you wanna talk stats, how about this one. The Jets have scored 12 points in their last 2 games combined. The Pats have scored 39. Include the 3rd game and it's 36-77 Pats.

Fezzik, don't forget: New England BEAT Tennessee.

The PATS will roll over the Jets.

Pats beat Tenn, Indy, Miami twice, Denver at Denver...etc...but you're right, they stink. People said the same things two years ago and look what happened. I guess after this year they'll be the worst team to ever win the Super Bowl 2 out of 3 years.

new england just keeps winning and just keeps covering.
this is the type of thing that happens to a team of destiny.
winning at home, on the road, high scoring games, low scoring games, good weather, bad weather, injuries, whatever, it just don't matter.
to bet against the pats for any reason is taking a serious chance.
the road team covered 8 of last 9 in series.
i don't believe it's possible for new england to lose focus...at all.

GAME.
