Gonna make some educated guesses at week 1 on some home dogs.

Washington Redskins +4

This is my top play. I feel they are being disrespected and called a disaster of an organization, while behind closed doors, they are doing the right thing to win now. They fired their secondary coach and brought in Goldson from Tampa. Goldson who is 30, is a two time probowler who didn't play well last year because he didn't like playing in Lovie's Tampa 2. I like that Washington addressed their o line in the draft, and see Cousins starting as a fact that Cousins is good. With Jackson, Garcon, and Reed, with the combo of Alfred Morris And Matt Jones, the redskins offense will improve with Cousins at the helm. Cousins can scramble and buy more time which will be necessary with Suh playing against the rookie Brandon Scherff. Expect help for Scherff. The good news here is that if Washington's revamped oline can protect Cousins Miami's secondary is burnable for Action Jackson. They lost Delmas for the year and lack safety depth. Take the skins against an overrated Dolphins squad and consider sprinkling a little on the ml.

Rams +4

I like the rams here because they have a good record against Seattle at home recently. I also feel the rams will be a better team this year. I have always liked Jeff Fisher and have no doubt they will keep this close. Seattle has lost a few pieces to their stud defense last year that could take out the doom in legion. Maxwell will be a huge loss. If they are also missing Chancellor this defense doesn't scare me. Foles will be a welcome addition. His deep ball combined with quicks speed might be just what the doctor ordered for a home field statement game against an arch rival. I'll take the 4 to the bank.

Good luck this season I'll post when I can. I will only post plays with write-ups this season.

I'm gonna add the Saints +2.5. I know how terrible their defense was last year, and realize adding Browner will definitely help, but not fix this wretched unit. Adding Stephone Anthony will help at the linebacker position as well. I know that the Saints defense still won't be great but they are improved. They will face a terrible running team in Arizona. This will help as Carson Palmer will be forced to throw. He looked very rusty in the preseason which means turnovers. I expect at least 2 turnovers out of Palmer on Sunday. I like the addition of a proven leader in max unger. He will drastically help this oline keep brees clean. I think the Saints will be too much offensively for a team with little offensive talent to compete. Take the Saints.

The Dolphins are an "overrated" squad? How so? :think2:

The biggest concern for Washington's offense is clearly the line, where Miami's defensive strength is their line. This game should see Wake and Suh simply dominate an outmatched set of blockers in front of them, and make it a very long day for Cousins. Washington is likely going to try to establish a running game early in an effort to negate Miami's pass rush strength. Suh and Mitchell up the middle, with linebackers free to plug the holes, should be able to limit that. Lichtensteiger has struggled against bigger defensive tackles in the past. Suh might qualify in that category. Scherff will likely be called upon to help Lichtensteiger block Suh, which only puts Moses trying to block Wake one-on-one. That is not going to be a good day for Moses.

The first game of the season is set up for Miami's defensive line to establish itself early and often. Will Washington's offensive line be able to slow them at all? Will Cousins be able to stay upright? My answers to these is questions is NO and NO.

This is why it's called gambling. Wish you luck, but I see the Dolphins covering the -4 and winning this game 24-13 or thereabouts.

Washington has spent the entire off season beefing up their oline and dline. Shit, Washington may have a better defense then Miami. They aren't going to let Lamar Miller run on them. So you expect Tannehill to beat them with his arm? Parker stills and Jennings? Ha. Come on man. Where you getting 24 in Washington? We should be asking how is Tannehill gonna stay upright with 330 lb pot roast after him

Thanks for your reply back. It's appreciated. It remains to be seen if Washington has a "better" D, since both teams have retooled.

Perhaps I was hasty in my score prediction. To be honest with you, I think the BEST play for this game will be the UNDER 44.

I've noticed historically games between the Fins-Skins have been moderate in scoring. Thoughts? :think2:

Also, who the heck is the 330 pound "pot roast" who'll be chasing Tannehill? Terrance Knighton?

Yeah knighton is called "pot roast" and "mutton chop" by his teammates. I wouldn't deny the under looks good. Just not sure if Cousins will open it up against Miami. Would definitely lean under

pot Roast isnt going to be chasing anybody as his role is to occupy blockers so the guys around him can penetrate, make tackles, and chase the QB.

It will definitely be interesting to see how well Skins oline holds up vs. Miami's improved Dline. Might be the best dline in football.

I like the "under" play more than a side here. Gun to my head I probably take the home dog, but another thing to keep in mind here is that Miami runs the read-option quite a bit and that could neutralize Skins pass rush big time.

Now I am an eagles fan, so I feel bad doing this, but are you serious? Front 7? They have a giant question mark at linebacker this year. They will be rotating heavily trying to figure out who's gonna play. Jenkins for sure, but shepherd is a liability in pass coverage. Last year Miami lbs accounted for only 5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries and one int. Front four not front 7

Yeah unfortunately after paying Suh 110 million there wasn't any left over to build a decent defense. Our eagles might have one of the better front seven. Fletcher cox, an underrated Cedric Thornton, Connor barwin, Brandon Graham, kiko alonso, Michael Kendricks, demeco Ryans. Now that is a front seven

Love your plays this week. Thoughts on Eagles getting to 10 wins? I like their season total over but hate that juice

Good luck,

Good write ups......that Skins game is tough for me because of how dismantling the Skins are supposedly.

Miami is going up while Skins down.......but week 1 is usually off the wall not knowing what's going to happen.

I see you're an Eagles fan.......what do you think of the Monday night game vs Falcons?

Good luck this season!
