Hope some of you guys survived the bloodbath that was Week 2. I bowed out in 1 Pool with my Packers pick but I am still alive in a couple of bigger Pools.

For week 3, I am looking at either Baltimore or Philly (haven't seen a line for this one yet). I know the Ravens game is a divisional one which I try to stay away from but the Cleveland team is absolutely rotten.

All other games are pretty iffy, i could see the Detroit Football Lions actually winning a game here. Ditto the Rams who is hosting the inconsistent Packers.

Your thoughts?

Why not?.. The Eagles lost their first 2 weeks in their new stadium in 2003. They ended up 12-4. Mind you I can't remember them having the same hype as Dallas. Carolina, Monday night?? Probably not, but it has happened..

I might stay away from Philly this week. No McNabb, Westbrook is really banged up and might not play as well.

I like to take good home teams that you obviously believe will win outright.

Stay away from bad teams on a hunch and try to stay away from road teams as upsets are much more likely to occur on the road.

I thought you really liked the titans last week. I hope you changed your mind.

I have lost one of my three entries on the titans in one pool.

If you haven't used the Ravens yet, this is a good spot to take them. Divisonal game or not.

Perhaps Philly or Dallas

Philly has a good defense. They will shut down K.C's Run game and force Cassel to throw. Even with any injuries on Philly's offense they are still the better team and at home they should win this regardless who starts at Q.B

Yes I laid off the Titans last week, just something about the line that smelled to me. I mean the Titans had 10 days to prep, Houston just lost to the Jets at home and it was only a TD for Tennessee.

I also read somewhere that the first game on the board is typically a *trap* game because it will blow up a lot of parlays and teaser cards...just something to keep in mind.

I agree with you about Philly, I don't see K.C. hanging around in this one. I think Andy Reid and Co. wants to get a W to go into the bye week, let McNabb heal and recover before the stretch run.

It will be either Philly or Baltimore for me. Too many question marks with the Cowboys (Barber is OUT and it's a prime-time game. Carolina is a desperate dog with John Fox on the hotseat).

I initially thought it was either BAL or PHI this week but what about the Giants? They are in TB but they have been great on the road their past 20 or so games. The only other times I can see using them is week 4 at KC or week 5 at home vs. OAK. IF you use the Giants this week there are plenty of other teams to choose in weeks 4 (CHI, HOU, SF) and 5 (BAL, PIT, PHI).

Yea but if you use em this week and lose then you wont have to worry about it. Go with the obvious, Balt,Philly,Boys,Bolts. Tough spot for the Gmen if ya ask me, not worth it in suicide pool.:toast:

I agree that you shouldn't save teams because you may not be alive to use them but can TB really hang with the Giants? The Giants D should feast on Leftwich.
