*Game of the Week*

*Carolina -1 I love the Panthers in this spot. Phi is riding high with a long win streak and Car is coming off a bad loss to Dallas. I think Phi might be looking ahead to next week when they play Dallas(just like Dallas was on Turkey Day) and Carolina can't afford another loss if they want homefield and the bye in the first round of the playoffs. Phi has a poor run stopping unit while Car has a great tandem at RB. Car on defense will also get pressure on McNabb which he does not handle well and they will force him into bad throws. Last week NO should have have beat PHI but they had 5 TO's that killed them. I don't see the Panthers giving the Eagles the same gifts that they have been winning with all year. Panthers control the clock by running the ball and win this game by 14!!!!!

*Upset of the Week*

New England +4- The Pats were looking ahead last week to this big matchup and almost lost to the Texans and it won't happen again. Belichich??(spelling) will have the Pats ready to play this week vs the Colts. They will be able to run the ball vs the Colts and when they put more guys in the box to stop the run then they will go over the top and beat them deep. Coach B has owned Manning and the Colts by confusing him into interceptions and I don't see why this will change on Sunday. Pats win this game SU!!!!!

other games that I am looking at
Balt- can the off and def both play in the same game. Last week the offense finally decided to show up and the defense played like shiznit

Sea- at home they are tough and they will be pissed from the bad call that cost them the game from last week

Oak- with their running game thay have been in every game and with the suspension of the Broncos DL Gardener and the LB corp being depleted I can see Oak with a SU win in this one.

Nice post Lewis, I thought the exact same about the Raiders game but was put off by their own injuries. Thats not to say it wont happen the way you say.
Please, please drop the "looking ahead" term from your posts. I see this creeping into a lot of posts lately and I feel the term means nothing. Using it to explain a loss is just short-sightedness and an excuse for the real reasons.
Hope you have a good Weekend

Great point. I'm sure the Patriots didn't have a gameplan for Houston since they had a big game the following week against Indianapolis. Might as well "look ahead" and gameplan for the Colts for an extra week.

I never said they didn't have a gameplan for the Texans. I just meant it is sometimes tough to focus on a game when you have a big game the next week. I guess I should have called last weeks game a sandwich game between two big ones if that is alright with you Big Lou. Regardless, I still think the Pats win this game SU. Winbet, thanks for the reply and good luck to you this Sunday.
