Thursday night may well be the biggest proof of gambling.

I suspect more people will watch the last 5 minutes of Clemson/Temple than the 1st five minutes.

I could easily come up with 50 things better to do outside or watch on TV than NFL on Sundays, even with bets on it. NFL sucks. And I DARE you to try and watch NFL games with no bets at all on any of them going on at that time or on the TV game. I dare you. No one could do it. Try it, you will soon be begging the wife to help with the dishes. The NFL is as dull as dirt.

I am not kidding- last week while the NFL was in full swing I mostly watched a college womens volleyball game on a cable network. I wish there were lines on sports like this, because I find them far more interesting and watchable than a bunch of spoiled obscenely overpaid assholes prancing around and who treat their fans like DOGSHIT.... ( NFL, MLB, NBA). All those sports suck.

Mr Smith, my RX Bash Brother, I agree with you 200% on this issue! I have cancelled my Direct TV NFL package. You are correct about NOT having an interest in the NFL; if you do not bet it. I already hated the NFL before this revelation due to the corporate welfare Jax Jags! Keep up the faith, LT:103631605

Why not bet on a sport that has been essentially ruined by its corporate owners? Why not. I bet on Railbird's tennis picks and wouldn't attend a championship match if it was right across the street and free. If an investment opp exists I will capitalize on it. I will buy stock in a company without ever having the need to purchase its product if I think it will go up.

My question is how can you bet on a sport that you don't follow. IMO, you generally follow the sports you bet on and have an idea about the teams unless you just follow other plays. How would you know about an investment opportunity if you don't follow the sport.

You compare the line at your book to the rest of the market.

What cocksuckers. Unreal. A lot of underhanded BS went on with this. Had to.

I have a question for anyone more familiar with this than me. Someone I know who is smart on politics told me this was really NOT unusual...the lateness of the bill, pushed thru, noone reading etc...he said it was" business as usual". And I quote. IS this true? Is what happened here pretty normal or close to it? I have no idea to be honest.

NFL is a bunch of bastards. Not much else to say.

Thanks...

Happens all the time. Pork barrel legislation and logrolling are two big things that are always going on in Washington. If you want to know the best example look at what Byrd from West Virginia has done for his constituency.........he has tacked on billions of dollars worth of contracts and business to his state by getting his greedy bill tacked on.
