BAS started a thread with current season win totals, got me thinking. I think it would be a fun contest to have everyone pick their favorite 10, based on the odds posted in that thread, and highest units won wins.

We could do like seven 1 unit picks, two 2 unit picks, and one 5 unit pick or something.

Any interest in this? Thinking like 50 or 100 per man, winner take all or 80/20 type payout.

Weeks 16 and 17 could really be fun, with all the different permutations affecting the standings.

An alternative would be to do it like a golf pool.

We could have like 5 tiers of teams, organized based on their posted win total. You pick one from each tier and most total wins by your "team" wins.

Something like this. Choose one from each tier, most wins wins.

Sounds like a lot of Fun. Count me in.

I like the tier idea a lot but either way works for me.

My top secret handicapping method has rookie phenom Mitch Trubisky taking over the QB1 slot around game 3 and going undefeated the rest of the way, leading the Bears to an improbable Super Bowl victory.

So yeah, I'm betting the Bears over 5.5.

I think if you do it the first way, not one form each group, you will have a much lesser chance of a tie...

I think in the tier system every single person would pick New England. I wonder if there's a way around that, unless you're talking # of wins OVER the season win total to determine the Champion.

i had that thought too. We could handle that a few different ways.

1. Eliminate NE from the pool
2. Calculate your score as net # wins above posted totals (kinda defeats the purpose of having tiers though)
3. Sum of posted win total of your selections must be <=41

I kinda like #3

If you put that restriction on, there almost don't need to be tiers. Just pick any 5 teams, posted total cannot exceed 41.

You could take NE, GB, BAL, LAR, SF...for example

Why not pick 5 or 6 teams, any teams, and use a + or - net score at season's end to define the winner(s).

Juice, for one thing. Big difference between 8 o-155 and 8 u-135

Which brings me back to the original idea with units.
