Been on another great run with Spread, this time of year offers me a better perspecting having scouted the teams by 11-12 games by now, and this is also the time of year when motivations are easier to figure out (if you're in-tune with the game). Such as last night, I correctly said before that the game last night would be Staley's last game. He lost his team weeks ago, and as a formr player i spotted this when I saw Assignment & Alignment issues constantly in one game (this is basic fundamentals), as well as missed blocks, tackling, etc. The players checked out and wanted him to be embarrassed so I took a bad Raiders team with better Defense at home going against an unmotivated team with a QB making his first ever start. News this morning confirmed what we prob all knew, Staley was fired first thing and players got their wish.
On to Saturday...I trust Browning over whoever Vikes put at QB (Mullens Starting for sure/Dobbs as backup?). As a backup QB being promoted to a start, its often a BAD situation as they do not get 1st team reps until the week of the game they start. He is now expected to move the first team on the road? Bad set up for him. On the other side, Browning has played well of late leading Bengals to 2 wins in a row. To my earlier point, Browning, completed 75 percent of his passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the win over the Colts.
Further they scored over 30 points in their last 2 wins and are looking to secure a playoff birth. Lastly, as an ECU guy and booster I got to know Minshew well as he was our QB for a couple years. He is prone to not keeping his eye level set, rarely is able to check down to 2nd progression before scrambling, and is often pace-rushed by blitzing defenses causing him Turn the ball over several times a game. I always tell my buddies against blitzing defenses he is good for 2-3 TO's. Bengals should get it done tomorrow.
Bengals-3
Pittsburgh+2-115
