Just going to preview some of the teams and also look at some win projection totals in here for the 2016-2017 NFL season
Every year there is a new 5. The old 5 that made it last year...... Cincinnati out, Seattle out, Denver out, Houston out, Kansas City out.... IMO.
Vikings(won the division last year 11-5)
This team is deep as anybody in the NFL. Mike Zimmer really stashed away on his defense. This team is still under the radar going into the 2016 season IMO and are the team to beat in that division if you ask me. The wild card game vs Seattle showed this team is built. I think Bridgewater is solid and will only get better and the offense has quiet weapons outside of A.P. Time for Mike Zimmer to get some more credit. This team can match anyone in the league and put up a fight. They win in the trenches. This team is too good not to be a playoff team again. They play the AFC south this year, all winable games for them imo.
Greenbay(10-6 wild card last year)
The well oiled machines. Rodgers of course is set up for a way better year than last statistically. He should finish well above 31 touchdowns. By looking at their schedule you can see they will be overvalued in many spots this year. Playing the AFC south. Texans at home they will be overvalued, at the titans, home vs the colts, at jaguars week 1. Watch Greenbay go 1-3 vs those teams and Minnesota go 4-0 or 3-1. My issue is the defense and how either the front 7 will struggle this year or the secondary will struggle. They usually go hand in hand because if you can't get pressure your secondary is covering longer. The defense of 4 or 5 years ago is not there. They have young backup play makers though, this organization is one of the best at drafting players so there are some defensive sleepers on this team that can step up to the plate.
Steelers(10-6 wild card last year)
Look at their schedule. They could be 6-1 by the bye week. They might be 5-1 going into the New England game at 4pm before the bye week...it will be a good game. Their win total is 10.5. and as we know, the NFL regular season is more about your schedule than your talent. Fresh example, Carolina last year. I see Cincinnati as a big drop off this year. It will be a two team race for the division with the Ravens probably getting a wild card at home.
Bengals(12-4 wild card last year)
Not going to be as cup cake as last years schedule for them. A lot of the young hungry players they had(marvin jones, Sanu) on the offensive side is absent and more attention on the running game and A.J. Green. Makes you hold your breath when betting Andy Dalton. Yeah sure he can beat some bad teams once and a while but when push comes to shove with this team this year.... new coaching staff.. all of their best coordinators are gone. They have hard nosed teams to start the year.....Jets, Pittsburgh, Broncos, Dolphins, Cowboys. Plus they have to go to London this year before a bye week...who the fuck wants to do that. I just see very little that I like about the Bengals this year. Reeks of an under 9.5 for this team.
Just getting started...
feel free to chime in with what you like
