My feeling is that it's very simple. People that want to bet sports do, and people that don't, just don't do it. The law has no factor into the equation. These people are in serious denial, if they think that sports, in particular, the NFL, are not already "gambling devices." I think it should be legalized, because there is clearly a market for it, and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Legalizing it would not force a single person that is opposed to it to ever place a wager, or even look at a line. It's pretty funny how even ESPNews even posts the line now on Sat nights when they run the matchups on the ticker. I don't know what these people are so afraid will happen if they legalize it outside of Vegas. These same people say it's perfectly fine to bet on dice, cards, wheels, horses, dogs, and slot machines. And they want to try to tell me that I can't bet on the Patriots? Needless to say, I'm not listening.
