Dez Bryant - WR - Cowboys

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Dez Bryant (foot) needed a bone graft in his surgery Monday and is now expected to miss 10-12 weeks.

Initially expected to miss 4-6 weeks, we may not see Bryant until December, if he returns to the field at all this season. A bone graft suggests Bryant's foot was weaker in the fifth metatarsal area and needed more support for the healing process. The Cowboys have discussed short-term I.R. as a possibility for Bryant, but coach Jason Garrett wants Bryant to have "every opportunity" to come back as soon as possible. For now, Devin Street is expected to start for Bryant. If you haven't traded Bryant in redraft, you may have missed the boat.

Mike Evans - WR - Buccaneers

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Mike Evans (hamstring) will indeed play in Sunday's Week 2 game against the Saints.

Evans is listed as a questionable after pulling his hamstring in the preseason and missing Week 1. He got in a full week of limited practices and declared himself "fully healthy." Evans is a must-start in redraft and makes for a fine DFS play in tournaments as someone with sky-high upside who will be under-owned.

Alshon Jeffery - WR - Bears

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Alshon Jeffery (hamstring, calf) is out for Week 2 against the Cardinals.

Jeffery was doomed as soon as he tweaked his hamstring at Thursday's practice. He never had much chance of playing this week. Martellus Bennett, Eddie Royal and Marquess Wilson will all see more targets in his absence though one of them will draw the unenviable task of going against top corner Patrick Peterson. Just as they did in Week 1, the Bears should rely heavily on lead back Matt Forte.

C.J. Spiller - RB - Saints

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports C.J. Spiller (knee) is expected to play Sunday against the Bucs.

The Saints listed Spiller as questionable this week and failed to divulge any information on his game-day status for Week 2. He's yet to play a snap for the Saints -- preseason or regular-season -- after undergoing a knee scope early in training camp. RapSheet expects Spiller to help "in the red zone and on third down." On the cautious end, expect Spiller to have a snap count as an RB3/FLEX.

LeSean McCoy - RB - Bills

LeSean McCoy (hamstring) will be active for Week 2 against the Patriots.

Shady was a limited participant at practice this week but is good to go for Sunday's battle with New England. McCoy wasn't close to 100 percent last week when he rushed for just 41 yards on 17 carries. The same could be said this week, although the Patriots are fresh off giving up 127 yards to DeAngelo Williams, who is well past his prime. McCoy is always an RB1 candidate on volume alone, but he's certainly on the lower end of that spectrum this week.

Matt Forte - RB - Bears

Bleacher Report's Dan Pompei reports Matt Forte "might not get so many runs" in Week 2 against the Cardinals as he did in the season opener.

Pompei has a direct connection to the Bears after covering the team for decades. Reportedly, coach John Fox and OC Adam Gase would like to use more of a "committee" in the backfield to keep Forte fresh, but the staff is "still getting comfortable" with backups Jeremy Langford and Jacquizz Rodgers. Forte touched the ball 29 times in Week 1, amassing 166 total yards and a score. Expect that number to come down closer to 20-22 on Sunday. Closing in on his 30th birthday, the Bears will do everything they can to keep Forte fresh this season.

Sammy Watkins - WR - Bills

ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini reports Sammy Watkins is a "huge part" of the Week 2 game plan against the Patriots.

Per Russini, the Bills want to get the ball in Watkins' hands early and often after he went catch-less in the season opener. Watkins was shadowed by Colts shutdown CB Vontae Davis in Week 1, but gets a much easier matchup against Patriots de facto top CB Malcolm Butler on Sunday. Watkins is flying under the radar this week, though his ceiling is still capped in a run-heavy offense where the Bills probably ideally wouldn't want Tyrod Taylor attempting more than 20 passes.

C.J. Spiller - RB - Saints

C.J. Spiller (knee) is active for Week 2 against the Bucs.

Spiller will make his Saints debut after missing the entire preseason. He's expected to be on a snap count and could be limited to third-down packages. Spiller's playing time concerns make him a risky RB3/FLEX coming off knee surgery. The Saints inactives are QB Garrett Grayson, CB Keenan Lewis, S Jairus Byrd, LB Dannell Elerbe, DT Kaleb Eulls, OG Mike McGlynn, and DE Tavaris Barnes.
