Some really great indiviual numbers being put up this year...

My vote goes to JAMAL LEWIS, possibly going over 2,100 yards rushing...all this playing against defenses that know he is getting the ball as Baltimore has had very little help from it QB`s...

Closely followed by Manning,McNair, Holmes and Portis...

Toss up between Manning and McNair right now IMO.

Maybe Lewis will surprise. Manning could have sealed the deal last night but......

You have to go with Jamal Lewis. The Ravens don't have much of a passing game, which makes it all the more remarkable that Lewis has run for the yards he has. Second imo. is Steve McNair, his performance yesterday, in his old city, was nothing short of spectacular, as has been his whole season.

Part of the reason is Lewis`s quiet personality, if you notice when he scores he just hands the ball to the ref...He has a throwback attitude that is refreshing..The more I see him he reminds me of two players, Earl Campbell and Bo Jackson, he may even be better....The speed /power combo he brings is unmatched , and he has surprising breakaway capabilty, you don`t really see him being caught from behind and for as big as he is that is what really puts him in that "alltime great" category, and this is a guy who has had two major knee injuries...I hope Baltimore has to win that game sunday, because that will be the only way he plays enough to go after Dickeson`s all-time rushing mark. He makes it look so easy and no one wants to tackle him one on one, he`s actually bigger and IMO stronger than Ray Lewis,lol...Dude is a genetic freak! Christian Okoye with afterburners!

Brady deserves props for the season he has had, problem is he is probably not even the MVP on his own team, try Willie McGinest, Ty Law, or Ted Bruschi.

Jman - I am not ready to put Lewis on at same level as Earl Campbell. Of course thats just my opinion.

I think you gotta wait til end of the season. going into this weekend, I would've said Manning. I give Jamal Lewis the edge going into the last week of the season with Manning & McNair still in the mix.

Wil- I should say "potentially" the back Campbell was....4-5 more 1500 yard seasons and he would have to be in that company...he has basically played just 3 years and has around 5000 yards (off the top of my head he has to be averaging nearly 5 YPC) He really is something special , hopefully he will get the recognition , his quiet personality and not being a household name, alot of people don`t realize how great he has been IMO..You can`t have a 295 yard rushing game and a 2100 yard season and not become well known,lol.. We shall see, Earl Campbell was from a different era and will always be remembered as the guy who could run over or run right by you...
His legend will only grow as the years pass, who could ever forget some of his runs? The Miami MNF game, the run wear he`s coming out of his jersey and no one can tackle him, the run wear he puts his helmet right thru the defenders chest...These runs are imbedded in our minds forever...I don`t think anyone (average Joe Fan) will even remember the 295 yard game Lewis had vs. Cleveland...

Randy Moss for a few reasons.

Stats:
106 Receptions
1576 Yards
16 TD's
3rd player ever to grab 15 td's with 100 rec and 1500 yds.

But hes doing this while being double teamed on almost every play and tiple teamed many times. He has no TE or 2nd WR to take any burden off him. And no RB that defenses have to play up against and be really scared of.

JMHO

MC - I agree Moss deserves some recognition for a terrific season. Unfortunately his getting undressed by Bears rookie DB Charles Tillman in the end zone two weeks ago, hurt his chances. The play cost the Vikes the game, or at least a chance for a short FG to tie the game. As did Peyton Manning's performance last night hurt his chances.
