Its been 3 weeks...since this show began and we are now sitting at 7-3 Total and more importantly 6-2 on my rigged selections...During this time we saw a Minnesota team somehow manage to beat a Saints team who miraculously turned the ball over a 100 times before the half...and an experienced coach go for a onside kick in the 2nd quarter...lol...Why? You know the answer...We saw a Seattle backdoor cover against a Tampa Bay team with the best back up we've seen in years...how? Why? You know the answer....We saw the same Derek Anderson who was 14 of 37 against a lesser Skins team who lost to the Rams a week before...go for 310 yards against " the best team in the league" just a week ago....How? Why? You know the answer....

San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints

Line - Chargers -3

Now I know the game is on neutral ground but do the Chargers deserve to be favored here? The same team that could barely squeak out a win against the lowly Raiders and was beaten soundly by Miami in Week 5 is now a 3 point favorite on the road against a pass happy Drew Brees chasing Marino...and Peyton....Do the Books know something I don't........?? lol...We'll See....

New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Line - Steelers -3

Oh Ok...So the Giants barely show up against the Niners and don't show up at all against the Browns...and all Pitt has to show for it is 3 points? hahaha...These people are something else....Am I to believe that just because Pitt played well on the road, they should easily win one at home against a Giants squad with an angry Receiver In Burres and an even Angrier Coach....The nerve.....

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets

Line - Jets -13

LOLOLOL....you know...there are times I think the Books really do believe most of us were born yesterday....you mean to tell me that putting up 56 against the Cardinals is not enough to get more than a TD and two field goals against one of the worse teams the NFL has seen this decade.....?

Gee what does a team have to do get respect in this league..?.lolol...Its still early in the week but from one degenerate to another....lay off the Jets this weekend....just say no....

The Boys and the Chargers are public teams...but they are not playing like public teams...they are not heavy favorites....which is why they will blow out their opponents this week...when the public least expect it...Giants are a public team..but they playing a team who is playing a bit better....they can't beat the Browns on the road when they are the heavy favorite but they can spank the Steelers when they aren't the heavy favorite...hmm?

You really believe the media hyped better team is suppose to play mistake free and cover the spread every week? What the hell make you think the Chargers line is off? The Saints are one of the most overrated teams in the NFL. Derek Anderson now has to play great everyweek or its a fix?

I've found you posts amusing, but this week really makes no sense. The lines you posted are pretty tight. How much sould the Jets be favored by? 17? 21? In the NFL, you rarely see favs of even 13 much less more.

What is off about SD line? What should this one be? Should the Saints team that lost to Minnesota be favored? By how much?

Pitt off??? You really are nuts now aren't you? Pitt is 5-1 and at home, line seems spot on to me. If game were in NY, Giants would be -3.

the only line that makes a little sense is the Jets line just because it is very hard to cover huge spreads in the nfl. in the 4th quarter when the game has been decided there can be some easy backdoor covers.

your other picks are silly.

They may "look" silly to you but some of these that have been discussed this year have hit.

He thinks like a a square so he's fading his own picks and says the games are fixed because the team that is hyped to be better does'nt win or cover every time.

Hmm, interesting, ive noticed this year, when you think a team wont cover, they backdoor you! But this may just be something that is working out this year, you certainly couldnt make this statement in 2005 when the favs were covering alot. Anyway, I guess if he makes money with his method is all that counts. I always look for the edge anyway I can get it!

In a previous thread i stated that his end result is actually pretty +EV, because he is taking into account public perception.

My argument with him is not so much with his picks, although this week I think they are bad, is that he thinks the games are actually fixed. When in fact it comes down to the fact that there is simply alot of talent on every team and in football no team can always play their best every sunday.

Good things happen to good teams & bad things happen to bad teams & when it comes to the lucky bounce, it usually bounces towards the good teams. As far as games being fixed, thats like discussing religion & politics, you can make a point for both sides, but I for one do not believe the enire team would be involved, 1 or 2 players, maybe, like the Qb or Runnin back, as far as the refs go, they are suspect in every sport in every country in the world! As far as individual players, we all remember Steelers Qb throwing 2 interceptions vs the Cowboys in the 1994 Super Bowl to the Cowboys secondary with no Steelers within 20 yards, suspect yes, easily explainable? Not in my book but like I said before, you can make points for both sides. I for one dont trust referees as far as I could throw one.

As far as handicapping a game & trying to see where there might be a fix, good luck with that, you would have lost your ass in 2005 with this method.

When you think they will cover they fall apart like the 49ers the last 2 weeks and the Bengals last week.

I had the 49ers 2 weeks ago with the flukish Eagles cover, the Steelers are money in the bank coming off a bye & being road favs at Cinci after being a road dog the previous game, so I would never have played the Bengals, I did like the Lions in their role but didnt touch it & how about those lousy Seahawks? Yes, it can work both ways but this year seems to be an anomally year where expect the unexpected!

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers

Line - Panthers -4½

I realize the Cardinals have been on a run lately...but may I remind everyone that this same Cardinals team gave up 56 to the Jets who could not score more than 13 points against Jamarcus Russel and the Raiders...last sunday...So why on earth are the Cardinals who just blew out the pass happy New Orleans Saints by several touchdowns...favored by less than a TD...

The Cardinals don't necessarily need help to win this game..but that doesn't necessarily mean they are not going to get it...whether it be by the refs or the Panthers themselves.....

Lay off the Panthers this weekend folks...funny business going on with this one...

I wish that were the case....it simply isn't so.

The entire team is not involved...because there are a lot of players who know and refuse to do it...some get blackballed, benched, bribed, threatened, etc etc.......its one of the reasons the Pats ran up the score so often last year...(oh you didn't know?)

As soon as Arlen (Magic Bullet) Specter threatened them....they pulled back...and fuck the NY Giants...you get respect when you earn it....

but you didn't hear that from me...right......lol
