Patriots lose tomorrow, and Jets can win vs Bills next week = Forcing Chiefs or Steelers out of the playoiffs. Neither of the two teams the Patriots want to face come playoff time, as both are getting hot at the right time.

If Patriots lose and Broncos lose vs Cincy ...... then it is possible that KC, Jets, and Steelers all make playoffs (they all have pretty winnable matchups) and Denver would miss the playoffs even if Denver wins in Week 17.... KC holds the tiebreaker with a better Division record. Quite interesting.

Thinking HC Belichek wants a NYJ win?

I I see your point. Knocking PITT or KC out would benefit NE. My concern with this logic is that too much is out of there hands ( whether NYJ win at BUF, other teams win/lose for the NE recipe to work out.

If it was week 17 and they had full control of Pitt being I or out, I wouldn't have any concerns.

Brady and Belichek hate the Jets.
Knocking them out this week may be all the incentive they need.

I love your reasoning and your hypothesis and appreciate your ideas and contributions.

As of now, NE-3 is my play.

Yes sir.......I would love to see Denver miss the playoffs......just don't like seeing backup Qbs in the playoffs.

AJ McCarron is enough......then again, so will the Texans & Colts if either get in.

We've had quite a dew Qb injuries this season.....hope they stay healthy next season.

Week 16 is definitely a very interesting.week of football.........

Trends, how do you see the NFC East? Knowing how the NFL loves chaos, they would benefit from an Eagles win Saturday & have bother Philly & Skins at 7-8......but only way Skins could win the division is a win in week 17 & an Eagles loss at Giants week 17.

Incant see the Skins going that route, but crazier things have happened!

If Texans win this week, they pretty much win the division & week 17 is meaningless for the AFC South.

I'm very confident we see a Sunday night game between Gbay & Vikings week 17, winner takes the division & hosts a playoff game, loser makes playoffs but is on the road..........

Broncos win (and they should be able to hold down a BU QB at home with thier defense at home) and NE is one step closer to a much easier road to playoffs, instead of playing PITT or KC 2nd round.

And there isnt much hate as the past few years for the Jets now that Ryan is gone.

KC and Pitt control their own destiny.
Jets have no tiebreakers over either.

Of all the teams in the league over the last 15 years the Patriots don't give a rats ass who they play and to think they are going into this game today with the Jets and play with less than a one hundred % commitment to win because they don't want to see Pitt or KC in the playoffs is wrong on so many levels imo.
