I think bills will be lucky to go 8-8 this season. They have a fullback playing qb and they aren’t sneaking up on teams this season.

Its a two horse race in the AFC east, Even with Cam i think the Pats need to rebuild for at least a season, I do think the over on cam newton rushing yards might be interesting , if Brady could not find an open receiver cam will panic and use his legs.

I think NE will be much better than most people believe. With every team being behind the curve on offseason I think coaching staffs are going to be even more important than ever this season. I would feel confident putting my money on Bill. Not sold on McDermott and that they didn’t bring someone in to push a bad qb in Allen raises some big concerns. Flores still setting a culture in Miami and Gase should be pumping gas not coaching in NFL so your 2 team assessment is likely correct.

Don't count Miami out of the AFC East.

Flores already set the culture, and it is a strong winning culture. After dumping a lot of his former starters early in the season the Fins lost their first 7. But finished the season with a 5-4 run. That tells me that Flores got his culture in place early and used it to finish strong. They should have gotten a lot better in the offseason too.

I do agree that coaching will be more important than normal this year. That makes the Pats automatic contenders. But they suffered some big defensive losses. And their offense last year was anemic even with Brady.

And Flores has already proven to me that he can coach.

The Bills are tough, no doubt. But the value will be with Miami.

Miami still way too inexperienced and new pieces to fit into system but I agree Flores has organization heading right direction. He is one of the few Pats assistants that seems to understand Bill’s philosophy doesn’t mean you have to try and be him. I’m not really concerned with the losses of van noy, Collins and Shelton on d for ne. Bill will scheme the new guys into spots they can excel.

We'll see. Add Harmon to the bunch you mentioned. Those were all above average players in his scheme. Replacing some guys is easy. Not those four.

And unless Cam is his old running self I don't see this offense improving. Who are the offensive "weapons"? The only above average offensive player they have is Edelman and he is on his last tired legs. And I'll bet those legs don't work as well without his buddy Brady flinging him the ball.

PS A 5-4 finish tells me that "inexperienced" no longer applies to the Fins.

Harmon is nice player in NE. Easily replaced with a deep secondary. What NE defensive players aside from Chandler Jones and Chris Long have left NE In recent years and been as good a player? Collins was phased out in last 1/3 of season. Shelton is replaced with Allen. Limited playmakers on offense not a big deal in East. They will run and use Cam’s skill set to spread field outside numbers.

I see Miami as a .500 team at best who will need an inexperienced qb to be great for them to excel. Fitzpatrick is a nice story, not a qb taking a team to playoffs.

This isn't about what they do elsewhere. This is about the holes they left on the NE defense. Collins is a playmaker. Gone. Harmon was the hardest hitter in that secondary. That counts. Gone. Van Noy was a versatile playmaker. Gone. I liked Shelton but he was the least valuable of the four in my opinion. On the offensive side, Cam better have young legs because that offensive line sucked last year. If Andrews comes back that will be a big improvement right there. If not that line will still be below average. No running room and no time for the pocketed QB.

Everyone expects Buffalo to now be the Big Daddy. The Pats get respect just because of Belichick. But you need players. They will be overvalued this year. The value will be Miami. Fitz is a smart vet. Like all other QBs he needs help around him. I think Miami improves on offense. They addressed their O line problems. Let's see if Flores can coach them up. They will be very competitive in this Division.

It's OK to disagree. Good luck big wang.

Guys, about Tampa Bay bet over 8,5 or 9 for season total.here is my take : Brady is getting old and will be translated on the field, but not this I wanted to say mostly, Belichick build around him a very good offensive line to PROTECT HIM because he is not an mobil QB by any means and he is more fragile than most people admit or thinks. Tampa Bay last season was TOP 3 in sacks allowed to QB ( Winston was sacked a lot ). So, I know this is a hasardated and maybe bizzare prediction for many of you but I strongly believe Brady will miss some games because of injury, This offensive line in Tampa is not so good protecting the QB. Honestly, I was expected this total to be around 10 O/U for the season, so my advice is to don't rush to the window to take Over 9 right away. And by the way, I really love Chicago Bears OVER 8 too for the season, I think will surprise soooo many people, the expectations are very low on them compared to last year, I see Trubiski better and with more pressure because addition of Foles, that defense it's very good too, they add Jimmy Graham etc...

Actually I think Bears will be a nice surprise this year even the expectations are low and because they dissapointed a season ago give them more value and I like a lot that a lot of people thinks like you... Chicago Bears easy bet UNDER 8 wins . Foles it's an upgrade, Jimmy Graham too, they have a good coach and I think Trubiski will be better than a season ago.The Bears subbed out LB Leonard Floyd for DE Robert Quinn in the pass-rush this offseason, adding some help to a strong group featuring LBs Khalil Mack, Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan, T Eddie Goldman and DE Akiem Hicks. TE Jimmy Graham replaces Trey Burton and TE Cole Kmet (Notre Dame) was added with a second-round pick in the passing game. WR Ted Ginn Jr. was also signed late in free agency. The Bears will play seven games against teams which qualified for the 2019 playoffs, with four of those games coming against the division-rival Packers and Vikings. Chicago managed a strong 4-2 record in the NFC North last year and it has the defense to contain any team. The 2019 Bears fell flat at 8-8 a year after winning the NFC North for the first time since 2010 with a 12-4 record. Only three teams averaged fewer points per game than the Bears’ 17.5 and only three teams averaged fewer yards per game (296.8). Defensively, the Bears were still one of the best teams in the league with just 18.6 PPG allowed to rank fourth in the NFL.My BIG BET for this season win totals will go for Bears OVER 8 without any hesitation and this is not dead money , I sprinkle on them to win the division too but not too much.Bears will make some noise this year, mark my words. See you at the end of the season.GL

Agree with your assessment... Very good value going into the season.. Saw some +450 prices out there.. Definitely a good position to be in to start the season

Not sure if he will be on roster but Alex Smith cleated to return will be interesting as well as a great story. I played Wash ov 5 wins earlier in offseason. Should be a good defense with a strong line. Was hoping to get average play from Haskins to get to 6. If Smith is with team it should only help Haskins learn the position and how to mentally prepare.

Hightower loss is the big one. For me, Gilmore, Dev and him are the 3 keys. Chung and Bolden losses hurt sp teams. The young kids on d are going to get a lot of reps. Should be fun for Bill. What he does with the available cap space once vets are cut around league will be interesting. His scouts can earn their money by finding some players released and undrafted rookies.
