It appeared the staff was about to give up on Harrington, is the City of Detroit still behind him?

It'll be interesting since Garcia seems to be Mariucci's "boy". I'd like to see how Harrington can do with a good running game and offensive line. Jones looked very promising late in the season.

If Det trades the Williams pick, I'd love to see them get Pollack.

they havent given up on him..

garcia to those 3 weapons along with kevin jones..

lions will average 28 a game next year.. hopefully they will only give up 27

guess i should've rephrased that. "i find it hard to believe they give up on Rogers this soon" that's what i meant.

Considering how lame the Lions have been for so long, even with Barry and Herman Moore , other than those two great players they hadn't had much to cheer about for so long, Lions fans should be thankful to have an offense.

Matt Jones, Ark., converted QB to receiver overnite, the first reach???

... not really. This kid is all about heart and competition. I remember the OT game vs. Tennessee a few years back, thinking "this guy will be passed over by many teams, but someone will get a quality player..."

From Miller's bio

Aptly nicknamed "Big Money," Miller made a claim as the greatest tight end in school and Atlantic Coast Conference history. He is the first player in ACC annals to win the Mackey Award as the nation's best tight end. He also became the school's first major award winner since 1941. Miller holds every receiving record for a tight end in school history and also established new conference career records for receptions, touchdown catches and yards gained by a tight end. He closed out his career as the first two-time first-team All-ACC tight end in school history.

Miller was a consensus All-American and unanimous All-ACC first-team pick in 2004. He did not match his 2003 figures, but still led the team with 41 catches for 541 yards (13.2 avg) and five touchdowns. In 39 games as a Cavalier, Miller caught 144 passes for 1,703 yards (11.8 avg) and twenty touchdowns, all conference records for a tight end. Only Billy McMullen (210, 1999-2001) had more catches in a career for the Cavaliers. His 1,703 yards rank seventh on the school's career-record list and his twenty scoring grabs rank fourth, behind McMullen (24), Herman Moore (27, 1988-90) and Tyrone Davis (28, 1991-94).

As a Steeler fan I like the pick of Heath Miller at 30 as long as they throw him the ball. Pittsburgh threw to Tuman once a game and Riemersma once every other game, and we NEVER threw to Kranchick. I also love the pick of McFadden because Pittsburgh can use all the corner help we can get.

Why were people shocked to see the Vikes draft Williamson, they had made it clear the week before that they wanted Williamson and not Williams. They thought Mike Williams was too slow and that's why they passed on him.

For Detroit.....wow, that was just plain idiotic to take Mike Williams. The two positions you DON'T need are RB and WR. Every other position you need and you take a 3RD WR!!!!!! If I was the defensive coordinator there, I would resign immediately. Matt Millen is obviously the Elgin Baylor of the NFL

Dallas....I hate to admit it, but you had one helluva draft so far. Three great selections and immediate contributors to that defense. Job well done. Ware, Burnett, and Spears will be great additions along with Ferguson and Henry. I've already taken them at 9-1 to win the division and will take them for even more now.

Maurice Clarett......you lucky piece of ****. you got drafted by the one team where you can put anyone at RB and have them be a 1,200 yard rusher. your ass got saved....and in the 3rd round to boot. i was hoping you'd go to san francisco or somewhere you could rot in hell. instead your saved by the grace of mike shanahan.
