My NFL Playoff GOY
10* KC -3 The Chiefs at home are a perfect 8-0 and I don't care who they played it is still 8-0. The Colts are 7-1 on the road but noone is talking about their opponents. They beat 2 teams that were good and the rest weren't strong teams this year. I am going to put some stats and trends that I am looking at for this game:
1. Dome teams 4-19 on the road in the playoffs
2. Teams in the playoffs that score 40+ points are 1-12 the following week
3. KC avg 34.2 ppg and allows 15.8 ppg at home while Indy avg 26.8 ppg and allows 20.6 ppg on the road
4. KC rush off 123.5 yds pg and allows 112.5 yds pg while Indy avg 103.8 yds pg and allows 114.4 yds pg.
5. Both defenses are fair at best but for some reason the Chiefs make their opponents kick FG's instead of scoring TD's at home
6. KC fans will cause 4 to 5 false start penalties tomorrow and probably a couple of bad decisions at the line by Manning
7. KC has the advantage in special teams except for kicking but Vanderjadt has yet to make a playoff pressure kick and I think that his streak will end tomorrow
8. Vermeil over Dungy any day as Dungy looks lost and confused every time the camera gets on him during the game. Plus throw in the fact that the Chiefs have had an extra week to prepare and get healthy.
9. Holmes over James--James always seems to put the ball on the ground and he is just not the same player he was before his injury
10. Manning over Green but Green and the Chiefs will run it down your throat until you stop them (which the Colts can't) and the Colts will change plays at the line which will lead to penalties and hopefully a couple of turnovers
