Burfict went helmet to helmet with a Steelers offensive lineman in the first half. He couldn't walk off the field by himself. He had to get helped by to Bengals trainers. He then came back and played the entire second half.

Either, his baseline brain function is "Neanderthal," or the NFL's protocol is a joke.

I'm watching this game on DVR right now. With three minutes left in the fourth quarter, one of the Bengals DBs hit LaDarius Green helmet to helmet. Sent LaDarius Green the locker room. No call on the field, and no mention of it by the announcers.

Total joke if you think the NFL cares about brain injuries.

when Tez went out just thought he must of had a stinger didn't see that hit but the Lineman for Pitt also went to the sideline after that play

After The helmet to helmet hit, DeCastro got up shaking his right arm like he had a stinger from the hit. But Burfict was obviously suffering from a concussion.

I'm thinking Burfict is about the same mentally with or without a concussion.

They asked him his daddy's name and he replied" I don't know"...So they thought he was lucid enough to avoid the embarrassment of having a piece of shit dad...

His father, a gang member and convicted cocaine dealer, was incarcerated most of the time and never had a relationship with his son...

Who was at fault in that play?

They should be kicked out for this season and the next.

Looks to me like Burfict is trying to Go Low, to make another of his Dirty Hits on the legs of the Pittsburgh guy and the Pitt Guy adjusts, gets Low to nail Burfict.

I could be wrong, Initial Take.

It is harder than you think it is. They are looking at the game from angles. You are looking at it from a tv overhead view. Helmet to helmet happens all of the time but if the player is not defenseless they most likely don't call it. Plus it is vontaze burfict, nfl will flag him for it before they make him leave the game for his own personal safety. He kills stars they don't like him anyway

Hey, wadda ya know? Burfict has a concussion. It only took the NFL three days to figure it out:

During last Sunday’s loss to the Steelers, Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was pulled from the game to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Steelers guard David DeCastro.
Burfict was cleared during the game, but he’s in the concussion protocol on Wednesday. The Bengals say that Burfict reported symptoms to the team earlier this week and will now be evaluated in the coming days to see if he can get cleared in time to face the Texans on Saturday night.
