How is Mike McCarthy not on this list is baffling look at all the injuries that they had on both sides of the ball and took a WR and made him a RB in Montgomery and a secondary that isnt good and won the NFC North.I know Im a homer but he did a tremendous job IMO after they went thru that losing streak.
I don't get the Coach of the Year love for Jack Del Rio, it's baffling. Has he always been an underrated coach? Absolutely. Id even say he's one of the better coaches right now.
But Oaklabd did exactly what the majority expected them to do, plus a little more. Everyone seemingly forgets their Win Total was like 9/9.5 (may have opened at 8.5, if memory serves me correct). They won a wee bit more than than while getting into the playoffs. That's not Coach of the Year material relative to what Garrett (when everyone thought Dallas was done), Quinn and a couple others have done this year

This is very on point.
As someone who is not a Packers fan, I think he should at least finish in the Top-3 in voting. Garrett will probably get it, as he deserves, but it's a crime that no one is talking about McCarthy. I'd actually say that's the best year of coaching he's ever had during his tenure in GB, even more impressive than in their Super Bowl title year
My guess is Garrett gets it.
It's not like it is voted on by people who spend 10 hours a week breaking down film and crucial decisions that coaches make, it is just media members that cling to a few narratives and having the #1 seed with a rookie QB when Dallas really didn't have that high of expectations coming into they year will probably do it.
Maybe Del Rio just because the Raiders have been so bad for so long.
