Local AM Sports Radio in Tampa Was Talking About this the other day.

The NFL says they are against betting on their sport, but is ok with the idea of putting a team in London where people bet on sports freely on almost every street corner. (So I hear/understand)

Funny when it's convenient and profitable for them they ignore the subject...

of course they ignore it. the NFL absolutely loves and depends on sports gaming, it's been just as much of a reason than anything other for its explosive growth since the 70's. if the Feds supported it, the NFL and other leagues would happily own up to the fact they do too. they know where their bread is buttered.

as for the other leagues.. NBA, baseball, and hockey wouldn't even be televised if it weren't for sports gaming. no one watches those sports unless they're betting on them and even many of the gamblers don't watch.

If there was no betting on the NFL, there would be half the attendance and no lucrative TV contracts. Why don't they get real!
