Adding:
GB -5.5
The Packers may or may not win the Conference Championship game, but they WILL get back to the Conference Championship game.
GB’s very healthy, even getting a couple of key guys back from being inactive. GB’s offense has tons of options. WR Adams is a nightmare matchup, but some of the younger WRs have really began to earn Rodger’s trust. This allows him to spread the ball around, which is key.
Additionally, the running game has that classic mix of “thunder and lightning” between Jones and Dillon. I expect a lot of balance from this offense, forcing the Niner’s defense to pick their poison in terms of scheme. GB will gladly take whatever option SF’s scheme gives them.
Defensively, GB matches up with SF pretty well. If I worry about anything, I worry about GB’s run defense a tiny bit. But they always seem to make good adjustments based on the opponent. GB secondary is what is really impressive. Quietly this secondary has been really coming together. I’m optimistic that this will be on full display this weekend.
The weather is actually not expected to be quite as cold originally forecasted (hoped for). But make no mistake. It will be cold enough to be a factor and the stadium will be energized. Tough place to play! Packers get the cover this weekend!
