I feel bad, thought he was flopping and called him a pansy for getting a bruise. That's a brutal injury. Must hurt getting carried in that plastic human bucket just bouncing around.

Was it a cheap shot?

ESPN has it on the crawler but I haven't seen it

Big loss. One of the elite ball handlers in the sport. I still think Belgium wins it all but Germany and possibly the Netherlands were better than Brazil anyway. France too. Argentina might be the most overrated squad in the tourney. All my personal opinions of course.

Silva out also for such a stupid penalty. Never get near the goalie when he has the ball. Tough losses for Brazil but Germany does not look special at all.

Neymar is only about 130 pounds. If you want to run with the big dogs, you better be tough.

Got a feeling that Brazil/Germany match will now be a snoozefest.....hope not but both teams might play not to lose and let penalty kicks decide.....

I didn't think it was a cheap shot. They were going full speed and it happened quick. I though neymar was faking it to extend time. Plus he was on the ground every time he touched the ball.

What would be the point of faking it @ the moment? It would just add to stoppage time right

To me looks like a rather standard foul, might even have misjudged the ball and with Neymar just shielding the ball without jumping, loses his balance. Doesn't look really intentional to me, also Scolari talked rather calmly about it in the press conference afterwards, calling it unfortunate and usually he is not one to hide his opinion if he thinks his star player is targeted like in the Chile game.
What imo just gets lost most of the time: Zuniga should have been long gone already because he intentionally hit Hulks knee with his studs when Hulk dribbled passed him and the ball was already gone a couple of yards:

It's a shame Neymar and Silva will both be out, but I still think Germany would have beaten them. They are a more technically sound team from what I've seen.

I'll tell you what though, this Neymar kid has an extra gear nobody else has. When he wants to turn it on he leaves defenders 10 yards behind. Exciting to watch.

Who is the winner? Time to make a selection for the masses.....

I will go with the home team in penalty kicks....
Winner? Probably will be the one I don't expect to win...so given Germanys history in penalty shootouts, Neuer being their gk and Brazil missing twice vs Chile already, I'd say if they lost, it was more likely that it happen before a shootout.
