No conference can hold a candle to them over the past numerous years in that regard.
Jeolousy would be the first adjective that comes to my mind.

I don't think Fish made those claims. Just stated the obvious, that when you take into account both football and basketball, the Big Ten is the best conference. People must hate the Big 10 as a whole for the same reasons that I hate the Yankees and Duke. 3 teams in the Elite 8 last year, and 2 in the Final Four. This year, a big disappointment. Nobody that has a clue said the Big Ten was even close to the best basketball conference this year.cincy_ said:LOL
With that comment, I hope you see why people don't like the Big Ten:
ARROGANCE
Yup, they are better than the rest of us and we are all jealous. USC would lose 3 games in the Big Ten in football, Duke would never win a conference tournament. Thanks for proving my point.
ACC football is better than the Big 10? LMAO.Seymour said:The Big 10 is the most overated conference year in and year out in hoops and football - the basketball conference has MSU and a decent Illinois who disappears for years at a time - Indiana was a good program over a decade ago - the rest is shit - the football conference isn't remotely close to the SEC or the ACC - I mean - I hear people selling Iowa - Iowa sucks in all sports year in and year out - if they have a stellar year (top 25 for them) it's like they just won back to back rings

Penn St and Wisconsin are also in the Big Ten.EveryGamblersDream said:Lets compare teams:
ACC: Florida St, Miami, Boston College, Virginia Tech
3 of these 4 teams are always a BCS threat every year
Big 10: Ohio St, Michigan St, Michigan, Purdue, Iowa
The ACC wins the overall battle. Michigan hasn't done much over the last few years & is good for 2-3 losses, Purdue usually starts off hot but blows their wad mid season. Iowa usually looks good but runs into issues with OSU or Michigan. Mich St beats up some cupcakes, then gets exposed.
