There is no right answer to your question. The obvious answer is, "Bet when you have the best line on your side." How to exactly when you are going to get that can be very tricky. Normally, lines will move according to where the money is coming in on. Thats one thing that is very tough to determine because all tracking services give you the number of bets on a team and not the amount of money on each team. In most cases, you would normally want to bet dogs late and favorites early. The reason this is so is because normally the betting public tends to bet favorites. However, in some instances "sharps" will hit dogs late after the public has pushed the dog price up in their favor. In those instances, the line will move back towards the favroite. If I were you, I wouldnt jump on the 6.5 with Georgia. That line will not get any lower. Sorry, but there really isnt a right answer to your question. You need to anticpate where the line will move and take a shot.
