New York's famous Carnegie Deli shuts its doors today

I just watched an interview with the owner. She said she's been working there since her father bought the place in 1976 and she's just had enough of the restaurant business. She said there is one though in Pennsylvania and LV.

I believe that show was based on the chain Soup Kitchen International.

shame, although the biggest outrage is the place in las vegas using the Carnegie
name and serving average food at best. that's the place that should of been
closed. we were in nyc a few months ago and the lines were long enough
every day to keep us from having a farewell nosh at the carnegie.

They had one in South Florida years ago that closed down. All New Yorkers said the food was weak but they had giant portions.
