One of the offshore books has the Knicks +3000.
to win the EASTERN CONFERENCE. I know their currently not in the playoffs, but with the big trade and now new coach maybe the have a chance. What do you guys think??
Aug15 - Do The Knicks have to have the best record in the Eastern Conf. at the end of the regular season, or win the Eastern Conf. Playoffs and make it to NBA finals? I only ask but the two are very different possibilities.
Mutumbo can't play with a running PG. They either have a C or a PG but never a flowing offense.
AI had Ratliff =good. traded for tumbo =bad
Kidd had MacCulloch = good= traded for tumbo = bad
Marbury now has tumbo or else has no front line. He is just gonna clog the lane and bitch about fouls making that dumb face.
Not to mention they are out of the playoffs right now with new coach. (temporary inspiration last night)
That being said... at +3000 it may be fun to throw 20 bucks on em. It also may be worth it since Isiah wants to win now and is still trading. They trade Mutumbo and a draft pick away and they could get Najera from the MAvs or something and put Kurt Thomas back at C.
Augs15, I quess for $20 its a schits and giggles take a shot bet, no harm done. To win the Eastern Conference they need to overtake the Indiana Pacers who are 13 games in front of the Knicks with 41 to play. If the bet was to win the East playoffs, and make it to the NBA finals you would have a much better bet. Why, because the improved Knicks do have a chance to sneak into the playoffs with a strong 2nd half. From there it would take an first round win, and then you could evaluate what hedge options might be available. The chance of overtaking the Pacers for best record in the East are very remote to say the least. In any case BOL.
