(But, only if you're an African American)

I think this plays right into the "educated vote" put a drain on society type of person. If my child was at Princeton and decided to major in this, they would be pulled out and put into tech school.

Seriously.....what kind of job do you find after college with a degree in race studies???

Give me a guy that works on engines or a woman that can do hair......at least they contribute to society.

It sounds like a degree to get you into law school or into higher education programs. Sadly there are many out there like that.

"pull them out of Princeton and put them into a tech school", LOL

a little common sense and a practical skill set does help people to succeed in life, so many degrees are toilet paper

always remember, selfish racist white men are holding you down, they get rich at your expense

and you can also blame the "systematic racism" found in law enforcement throughout this country

it's not your fault, you're a victim of societal injustice

and don't forget to "Punish your enemies"

the majority of those skill sets apply to every college major

while other degrees are more likely to qualify you for almost all of the careers you listed, save for "community organizer"

for example, if you want to be a CFO, would you major in African American Studies or might you choose Accounting or Finance or Management?

of course

The point is, many folks at age 18ish don't have a clue what 'they want to be'. Some folks have an affinity to the arts, some the sciences....etc etc. The individual to choose his/her journey; many of these programs act as springboards.
