Due to the unfortunate climate that has developed following the recent failures of some sports books, we are going to require ALL of our sponsors to disclose their weekly results with us beginning next week.

This information will not be disclosed to any third parties. Rather, it will be used for this site to protect gamblers from sports books who may not have enough money to back bets...

If a sports book doesn't want to participate with this new policy, we will be glad to refund your money on a prorated basis...

Pancho,

I have been been inside lots of these places and while I am sure they can fudge, I will do my due diligence to make certain the numbers are clean...

If I catch anyone fudging or even if I suspect it, I will report it to all of you...

Who is to say the numbers that the sportsbooks provide are honest numbers? Are they going to be accual bank statements or will the RX just simply believe what the Sportsbook says?

Cascade Dru,

What do YOU recommend? I am all ears...

I just think we have a responsibility, both this site and our sports books to show good faith to the people who bet.

so shrink will the reports be public or left up to your interpretation? this will be good for you to, so you can see if a book is going to stiff you for ads. i like the accountability

Excellent idea. This should be done by the jurisdictions, but somebody has to do it.

Can I make some suggestions.

Ask for some specifics to be compared against other shops.

how many new signups,
number of postups and average deposit,
number of withdrawals and average withdrawal,
number of players (who played) and average of handle per player,
You dont really even need the PnL for the week or the casino balance figure (though it may help)

It would be your job to cross reference this with your other sponsors. Someone fudging numbers will stick out like a sore thumb.

Can we trust you? we'll all see.

p.s. great idea!

cashin,

I am NOT trying to embarrass anyone when looking though a sports book's numbers. No, I would NEVER make them PUBLIC because all that should matter is whether the book has enough money to cover the players who bet into them.

Obviously, a smaller book would need less cash than a larger one to endure volatile changes in bankroll...

Also, I would have no problem having our accountant validate our findings..

No one in general. But books that you would never guess go out of business. The way it seems, listening to these people in the forums, it sounds like they want more than just a promise. They want proof. If you told me that so and so told you they had plenty of money and they are winning, I believe you. But there are others in here I bet that would want real proof. Real bank statements. I could be wrong. I think its a great idea.

I would be willing to ask John Walkwr from SBR to assist me with this matter and perhaps that will lend more credibilty to this whole process...

Does that mean that the Rx will also disclose it weekly figures to the books that PAY for advertising .
That way they will be able to judge who is on the RX payroll and would those figures also be fudged ?.

While I think the Shrink is headed in the right direction a book that is going to close up shop will not disclose that things are goind bad. Books continue to accept deposits right up until they close up and usually offer some nice bonuses at this time as well.
If we were somehow able to determine how much money they had in neteller or % at neteller compared to the avg amount wagered there per week we would be able to get a better read on the book.

Thats my point Raider. we will never know the REAL truth unless the players saw accual bank statements because we dont know if what the Book tells the shrink is the truth or not.
