new orleans gambling and nightlife

any of you ever been to harrahs is new orleans? my two brothers and i are going there december 17-19 for a little fun. would be interested in any gambling conditions you may know and any places that are a must see while i am there. i'm not talking must see as in tourist but a lively nightlife. also, what is the weather like in december.

from harrahs you are about 3 blocks away from bourbon street. i figure between the casino and then the strip clubs on bourbon you will be scratching your head the next day wondering where all your money went to.

Weather in Dec is cold and wet.

......and possibly the Saints.

I haven't rooted for them since I was old enough to know better.
