I like Wyoming against NMS. Wyoming's defense held opponents to 17.5 points per game last season. They return several defensive starters from last year’s squad and they are up against a subpar offense. New Mexico State does not have a proven quarterback, and their running game ranked down at 118th in the country last season. New Mexico State will be playing without Cedric Wilcots II who led the team in sacks last season, and safety Ron LaForce is questionable with a foot injury. Plus the additional info above about playing Minn on Aug 30. BTW I thought this game is Saturday Aug 25th. Was it changed to Thursday?
THIS is good handicapping.
It is always a good idea to take a strong defense against a poor offense.... with a low point spread, especially.
Most cappers on this board just lob out a pick with no real rationale.
Well done!
For this game, again, a poor offense against a Big 10 team, short turn around on the road, opening season home game for Minnesota... but a lot of points. Lean to Minny.
