Georgia freshman RB James Cook (undisclosed) did not practice on Thursday.
Per The Athletic's Seth Emerson, this was likely an injury-related absence, rather than a personal one. Cook (5'11/190) rushed for 284 yards (6.9 YPC) and two touchdowns in 10 games during the regular season. Should he be unable to play in the Sugar Bowl (against Texas on Jan. 1), it wouldn't be a truly tangible loss for Georgia given their loaded running backs room. Dec 20 - 5:25 PM

Wisconsin sophomore QB Jack Coan will start the team's Pinstripe Bowl matchup with Miami on Dec. 27.
Coan will be starting in place of Alex Hornibrook, who is dealing with recurring symptoms from a concussion sustained midway through the 2018 campaign. The sophomore signal-caller started three of Wisconsin's final four games. On the whole, the 6-foot-3, 211-pounder has thrown for 488 yards with a 4/2 TD/INT ratio this season. No great shakes on the statistical front, but he'll try his best to help Wisconsin finish out a dreadfully disappointing year on a high note come the Pinstripe Bowl. Dec 20 - 4:52 PM

Florida International redshirt junior QB James Morgan (triceps) has been ruled out for Friday's Bahamas Bowl date with Toledo.
Morgan (6'4/213) sustained a triceps injury in FIU's final game of the regular season, a 28-25 defeat at the hands of Marshall. He hasn't been able to get right even with a few extra weeks to rehab. With their starter ruled out, the Golden Panthers will be turning to redshirt senior Christian Alexander for Friday's contest. Morgan ends his 2018 campaign having thrown for 2,727 yards with a 26/7 TD/INT ratio. His absence in this game could prove incredibly problematic for FIU's chances. Dec 20 - 2:52 PM

Florida International redshirt junior QB Christian Alexander will start Friday's Bahamas Bowl showdown with Toledo.
Alexander (6'3/225) will start in place of James Morgan, who sustained a triceps injury in the regular-season finale against Marshall. In limited playing time spread across eight games this year, the redshirt junior has completed 19-of-29 passes for 218 yards and an 0/1 INT. Dec 20 - 2:59 PM

Michigan senior RB Karan Higdon will not play in the Peach Bowl.
Higdon (5'10/202) will be skipping his team's Peach Bowl matchup with Florida in order to begin his prep for the 2019 NFL Draft. That process will get started in earnest for the senior at January's end, as he's accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl upcoming. That makes three notables at UM who will not be suiting up for a date with the Gators, as star DL Rashan Gary and LB Devin Bush have already likewise decided to sit out the game. Unlike Higdon -- a likely Day 3 selection -- Gary and Bush are both potential top-10 selections. Dec 20 - 11:38 AM
