I am sure the police planted the gun. Justifiable shooting.

living in the land of the free and being a free person doesn't mean you can say and do and go anywhere you want. when the police give you instructions you need to follow those instructions. the cops have guns and will use them if they think that they or someone else is in mortal danger.

just because you are doing nothing wrong doesn't mean you don't have to follow police instructions.

some people think that when a cop tells them to do something they are being treated like a prisoner or slave or something.

attitudes like "i aint did nothin wrong, i aint putting my hands up, i aint gonna stop walking, i aint listenin to no punk cop" are learned behavior just like "yes sir, no sir"

While i get what you are trying to say and do agree with it technically if someone really is doing nothing wrong then the cops can't just ask them for ID or anything else. obviously that doesn't apply in this situation i'm just saying if a cop walks up to you on the street and wants to see ID or something for no reason he technically doesn't have that right unless he sees or suspects that you have committed a crime.

The law and constitution says different. Like I said, In this case the guy damn sure should've listened and it damn sure looks to me like I see a gun by his feet in the video of it. I'm mearly saying if I'm standing on a street corner and a cop comes up to me and wants to see an ID and he doesn't see me commit a crime and doesnt suspect that i have commited a crime then it is not legal and i do not have to show him one. but again, this guy sure as fuck should've done what the cops said and he would be alive today. I guess i was just replying to the part where the poster said, "just because you are doing nothing wrong doesn't mean you don't have to listen to police instructions." All i'm saying is that specific line he posted is not true.

This is totally justified by the police.

Prediction: Eventually body cam/dash cam video will come out clearly showing he had a gun, but none of the rioters/ BLM provocateurs will apologize and will probably even figure out a way to reform their argument because these people expect police and everyone else to be mistake free while dealing with blacks but claim no shred of accountability or any repercussions for their own actions or when they themselves are proven to be fantastically mistaken.

This is going to be a very interesting case.

Reports indicate the guy got out of the car holding a gun but never raised it at cops when they shot him. In NC, you don't need to have a gun raised at you to feel threatened. I believe the cop will not face charges but it's an interesting case nonetheless.

my god, he got out of a car holding a gun..he had an instrument of death in his hand, and when told to release, he did not..it scares me i walk among people that hold a similar thought process...why is it so fucking hard to understand that we do not make our own rules as we see fit? wait, it wasnt a bible? serious, obamacare should provide basic mental evaluations..

I was told at a very early age.....you can't control what others say or do, but you damn sure can control yourself. If I was raising a boy or a minority young man. I would beat it into his head from day one. You encounter authority, you do exactly what they tell you to do. If you are miss treated you will have your day in court. Control your actions and be obedient. I see so many folks wanting to change the police.....that's all well and good, but look yourself directly in the mirror as well. Learn words like law, respect, obey, comply........oddly enough those are words that don't fit well in a criminals vocabulary.

Yup. If your rights get violated, sue and be set for life. But don't put your life on the line. Just acting in a manner that makes them pull their weapons put you at risk of death by accidental discharge. Trust me, it isn't worth it.

There is one common denominator to all these deaths too .... the person who dies is a criminal (almost?) every single time. I haven't seen but a handful of these (kid with a play gun Tamir Rice?) where the person who was shot and killed couldn't have prevented it by not being a criminal. But even if you choose to be a criminal, don't put your life at risk like this.

I hate to say this because it is so sad .. but the BLM movement has greatly put more (black) lives at risk, both that of the citizen and the officer.

Why doesn't the media show the white people being shot by cops & make a big deal out of that.......just as many whites get shot by cops, if not more.......this world is falling apart.

Almost like she wanted them to shoot him while she was video taping them. I'm sure she will settle out of court for her trauma

How does she not lose composure & flip out, but is cal & collective while her husband is being shot & dying & she makes sure her video is rolling ........it seems like there's a pay day when a cop is pulling over a black person because you know something might happen.
