I believe the Patriots sold their soul this off season...what made them special was their ability to plug holes with non-ego, underated talent that were hungry to prove themselves. They went the way of the Raiders this offseason, and I believe it will show in the end. Moss doesn't want to win a superbowl, he wants to pad his statistics. I don't care who the coach is.

Same goes for Denver.

people that think Manning is better than Brady really amuse me

i believe they just look at stats and don't watch the games

the "eye" test tells the whole story.....what you see on the field

and Brady is much better

Football requires more team chemistry than any other sport. And i sense the pats are on the verge of losing that chemistry.

The redskins have signed lots of big time FA's over the years and it never helped.

Difference is...

The Redskins sign players w/ large amounts of guaranteed money...if they don't perform, then they have a difficult time releasing them against the salary cap.

The Skins just finally were able to release David Patten (for example)...made like 25 catches in three seasons...but still walked away w/ $15 mill...of guaranteed contract.

Aside from A-Thomas...every else of the acquisitions that Pats have made...are very little guaranteed money...w/ Stallworth & Moss essentially signing one year deals w/ incentives. And Welker's deal only has a max of $10 mill guaranteed over a few seasons.

The key word is guaranteed.

And you could very well argue the prime difference of upper management/ownership/and coaching...where the Pats have significant advantage over the coaching tier of the Redskins.

Best F/A's to sign are the linemen. Much higher rate of success. QB's seem to pan out pretty good too. I would say the best two pickups last year were Brees and Steve Hutchinson.
