Does Mozilla load web pages faster than IE? It seems like Mozilla is slower.

In spades it is garbage

Every browser has security issues period, use the one you like best

No better one than IE or the spinoff's off IE like Maxthon

security issues are one thing. Giant gaping holes of vulnerability are another.

I use firefox and I believe it definitly loads pages faster then IE. It seems to load up the text and pictures at the same time while IE seems to load the pictures first and you wait forever for the text.

Mozilla Firefox is faster, easier, more user-friendly and better in every way possible. It's page tabs feature is of immeasurable value.

Firefox over Explorer in a rout!

I love the fact you can just keep adding extensions to Firefox. "Bugmenot" is a nice feature for one.

Also love the tab browsing.

Is this easy to install with XP HE and then uninstall if you do not like?

JJ, why lousy?

General, yes easy to install and uninstall.

I downloaded it about 2 months ago and love it......mainly for one reason....I set up all my "capping" bookmarks....boot PC, open Mozilla, ckick on bookmarks then "open in tabs" and all 12 sites fire up at once,,,,,within ONE mozilla window, tabbable at the top......This eliminates having 12-20 tabs open on your start bar,,,,this to me makes it well worth the swap.

I too agree that tabbed browsing is the best feature. Just right-click and open links as tabs.. it makes IE seem clumsy.

The only problem I've had with it here at the Rx is having to change the format text box selection in the forum control panel because it didn't render properly by default.

JJ I have thought in the past you coached posters to get away form IE and get one of these new ones. Am I confusing you with someone else coach?

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox recently.
Two questions:

1) IE has a red "X" on the upper left. If I click this, it stops annoying images from moving. It freezes them. (For example, I just froze the tremendously distracting and annoying emoticons on the right of the box in which I'm composing this post).

I can't find an equivalent on Mozilla.
Is there one?

2) I read that I can "export" my Favorites and passwords easily from IE to Mozilla.

Does "export" mean it will Copy them to Mozilla (but leave the originals in IE)?
Or Move them to Mozilla (so that they will no longer be in my IE)?
