He pushed his career rushing total to 6,110 to move past Michael Vick, who had 6,109 in his 13-year career.

Marino played before the offensive rule changes that gave the QB such huge advantages. Defense and running game were more important. Marino considering the rules probably had the single greatest QB year for at least stats. He even made the SB. Since the 2000s or so around there the QB has been as responsible individually as much or more than any player in any team sports except an elite NBA player for winning or losing.
