NETeller system problem: your on-line debit balance may be off

If you've got a debit card and you try to check your balance today, you may find an incorrect number. I did. It turns out they 'enhanced' their system last night and it resulted in this problem. However, they did tell me my actual balance (which was correct) and said that the money hasn't disappeared - it's simply a problem displaying the balance on the screen which they hope to have corrected sometime later today. This means you should be fine in using your ATM card based on what you know you've got.

Just fyi in case you stained your drawers this morning looking at a $1 balance

Thanks Jazz, I saw this as well and my drawers were indeed in danger.

There also seems to be a problem in withdrawing to the card for now. Same issue I would assume

Hmmmm ... well, if anyone takes an ATM withdrawal today, please post the result if you would here, at least we'd know if that would work. Actually, I might do so later.

What banks atm do you use that lets you take out $1000 at a time?
I only know ones whos limits are $500

Last week i took out $500 and my balance stated that it was $22,775.I went back the next day to take out another $500.
They corrected the balance.

jersey, I am from Europe so I use banks overhere. The max I've been able to withdraw at once is approximately $1500.

But if you find Nordea or Arbejdernes Landsbank in the US, you should give them a shot

just tried to withdraw to the debit card it got declined I emailed them..they must be having tech problems

Jersey-

I'm in your neck of the woods and from experience I can tell you Citibank, Chase, Wash Mutual let you take $900+. Citi told me there is NO limit but my guess is that at a minimum the limit has to be the amount in the machine, you account, or the limit imposed by your bank.

I've also taken out $900+ from casino cash machines in Vegas and AC (don't know who runs them).

fyi - I took out some cash today without a problem, and saw on my receipt the correct balance, though NT on-line still shows my balance at ($1.00) - oh well

Funny I got off the phone w/ NT about an hour ago and they confirmed my balance but it showed -1.00 on the screen. More "systems" issues.

I too kept getting system error messages yesterday... I was hoping it will be fixed by today... apparently not... guess I'll try tomorrow.
