I love it. The best option available right now, atleast for Canadians.

Sorry you also asked for good and bad points.

Good;
Quick, very easy to use, convenient, relatively cheap to use

Bad;
It seems in the USA you can't take out more than $500 at a time at an ATM, not would be a problem for me. In Canada I can take $1000 a pop

Neteller has two debit cards, a blue and a gold

The bank for the gold is in the US, the bank for the blue is outside the US.

If you have a problem with US based banking, call them up and ask for the blue ATM card and Im sure they will accomodate you

fwiw, I use the blue (cirrus/maestro) card and can get up to $1K a day on it at any bank machine in the Bahamas with no withdrawal fees

Excuse the ignorance, but the card will remove funds from neteller into your pocket from an ATM with no fees?

Thanks

No there's a $2 charge from Neteller to the card, but the atms I use don't charge a withdrawal fee. Withdrawal fees vary wildly by bank/atm machine

There is a couple buck fee for everything with neteller including going to your neteller acct to yout debit card account since their card is through a third party US bank.

As to what Everfresh is saying about this blue card I will be researching. I have never heard about this.

Sounds good everfresh. Appreciate it. $2 would be ok for convenience.

Anyone notice that:

1) They've removed the "application fee" associated with the debit card.

2) Removed the "application" process.

3) Lowered the fees associated with the card.

What are your thoughts on these occurences?

Do you use the card? If yes, has your experience been good or bad?

I just got mine about a month ago and used it 3 times so far with no problems. I took the cash in local Hungarian currency and they seemed to use a reasonable exchange rate. No complaints here!

If I am reading this right it's:

$5 activation fee just to open the card.

$2 To place money onto your atm/debit card

$1.50 to withdraw to an ATM

$1-$2 that the actual atm charges you.

That seems pretty expensive to me. They only get away with this is because they have no competition.

I love the idea of a Neteller debit card, but the fees can be ridiculous. Before you get one, check the fees. For example, if you don't use the card for 30-days, you are charged $5 (or $12 for Canada/International). You'll continue to get the 30-day fee for six consecutive months. See below:

* Debit cards that have had no activity within a 30-day period will have this fee deducted from their balance.

** Debit cards that have had no activity within a 30-day period will have this fee deducted from their balance for 6 successive months, or until the card no longer has a positive balance.

I think it is could be a very popular choice amongst those that don't want to report gambling activity on their tax forms, but outside of that I don't see the point of it.

I go shopping every Monday at Walmart with my Neteller card....

Fyi, most of the convience stores don't take the card because it's not MC/Visa...

But as long as Walmart does...
I'm happy.
