the big deal is that if you have an open router and I sit in front of your house and decide to try to hack the servers of ......the NSA or CIA........guess who they are going to talk to?

if that sounds far fetched then picture this much more likely scenario

kid uses your internet signal to download the latest movie and then the MPAA goes after you for copyright infringement, yes you may be able to set a plausible defense but it will cost you time and money
