Shaving is a pain in the ass, the less hassle the better.[/QUOTE] Exactly my point. I have been shaving for 30 plus years. I will still have to shave tomorrow morning no matter how good the razor I'm using today is. Less is more.

I'm with you guys about hating shaving, but I hate a scratchy beard also. I never found an electric razor worth a crap. Thought of trying a straight razor.

I "shave" my head to ( almost). I have this tool. A Wahl home haircutting kit ( $20 Wal-Mart). I use it with none of the guards.

I came up with a technique. I shave about once a week.

Put Remington Face Saver on your beard. Grab the Wahl thing. It cuts that beard off in about a minute flat, leaves that " Don Johnson" look. Take a hot shower, it opens up your pores. After shower finish the job with any cream and a Bic disposable for sensitive skin.

Works great, takes little time, avoids that scratchy phase.

That Wal-mart unit works better than anything else, it doesn't try to get too close, so no pulling.

Two to three weeks average .... Love the 3

I used to use those bic throw aways, they tear up your face after a couple of decent shaves.

Sounds like maybe you are allergic to your shaving cream, or maybe your skin is dryier than normal. Have you tried a shave cream with aloe or oatmeal?? also see if you can find one without fragrances or colors added. Also i prefer the quattro for my legs, the $9 is worth it-they last alot longer than the disposable kind. Also have you changed soaps lately? that might be causing the dryness.

anyone suffering from razor burn needs to purchase the product called tendskin.

i suffered from low to high amounts of razor burn, and it was off and on, and never consistent. after using this stuff my face is clear from any blemishes, i use it a few times a day, and after shaving. its seriously a miracle worker, i swear by the product.

one bottle can last about 3-4 months. stuff is gold.

Thanks for all the advice .After reading all of it,I'm going with the Mach 3 and a shaving cream with aloe or oatmeal also without fragrances or colors added. I'll see if this solves the problem. If not,I'll try some of the other products listed in here. Thanks again for all the responses.

The RX rocks! I ask a question about skin burn from shaving and look @ all the help I get!
