Need some feedback

I understand there are a lot of people in this forum that know a lot more of gambling than myself, so I wanted to run this idea by you guys and get some feedback. I was playing online roulette, and thought of a system. Obviously millions have used the martingale system, but I thought of betting on red, black, red, black, red, black everytime. Flip-Flop from red to black no matter what color it lands on, using the martingale system. I haven't tried it yet, just waiting to see what everyone has to say. Thanks for your time.

some math, starting with $1, a person would need $255 to bet 8 times usig the martingale system.

you are still betting into negative expectation events, no matter what kind of betting scheme you use

it may work in the short term, but you are going to run into a brick wall eventually

You seem to have come to that cross-road all gamblers come to, a life changing discision. You can listen to reason, walk away now, or tread that well trodden corridor of mugs. You are not going to win at on-line casino's, cop yourself on, this is almost like making sure someone is at all times with a suicide case.:sad3:

First, you are playing online and I believe that to be the biggest issue with your plan. I do not believe (some on here disagree strongly) that playing any game of chance online at ANY establishement is a good idea.

Further, if the odds of red and black (on a fair roulette wheel, wherever you find it) are the same (they are are they not?) then alternating as you plan is no different than playing only black or only red or going three times black then three times red. You still have negative expected value for your wagers.

Finally, the martingale system is not a winning system of money management. In fact, when you have negative expected value, there is no way to money manage yourself into a positive position.

In short, you should not expect to win money with any facet of your plan. Note that I say expect. You should not expect to win money, but hell, that doesn't mean you won't. Just promise to come back and tell us how your experiment went, for good or bad. tulsa
