Hi

I'm new here and not sure if anyone can help me.

Antigua Online Sportsbook which of the starnet companies is one of the more reputable supposedly has no actioned a wager.

I had a field bet of 25:1 in the field of 16 to win the womens french open. This included rubin, petrova, martinez, etc. Everyone but maursemo, henin, williams and clijsters.
This bet lost.

I also had Clijsters 3:1 in the field of 16 to win the womens french open. As soon as clijsters beats petrova to now face henin in the finals i get an email saying they are no actioning my bet because people from the same state made a wager on this bet at there book.

This is very simple. I had saw what i thought were a good price. Clijsters was hovering around +225 to +250 at other books. The Field bet was about 20:1 at other books. These were clearly not bad lines but just good prices. I have a dozen or more gamblers on my AIM. I don't know alot about tennis so i talked to many of these about the dog value in these prices against serena winning it all. They said there was value and would be placing bets also. They cancelled anyone who lived in my states bet. The people who i talked to about this line that lived in other states, their bets are fine.

Furthermore i have the dilemma that if they are going to cancel 1 bet they need to cancel both, but i clearly do not want that. I don't mind that my dime on the field bet lost, as long as my clijsters bets stays. But if clijsters loses obviously i will be happy that it was no actioned but i will still have to fight to get my field bet no actioned as it has already lost.

I have written them tons of emails and called support but they have no direct support line just generic software support.

I don't want to screw the book and i don't want the book to screw me, just get what is right but with the tennis match tonight and them not replying to my requests it puts the situation in jeopardy of the book trying to screw me into a lose lose situation and me appearing to try to screw the book if clijsters loses tonight

If anything i want this to be documented proof online that i want both bets to stand, even the losing one already. If that can not be had both bets MUST be no actioned.

EDIT: Please email me hockeykitty73@hotmail.com or AIM hockeykitty202a if you can help or post here.

General:

This tennis match is going tomorrow.

On the surface, this might be a legit complaint. Now that Sportingbet has a major stake in Starnet, I suspect they want to keep things clean with all the Starnet books.

You should try to contact the book, if posssible, and get this straightened out.

Thank you RPM for the help. Still no word from them and the match Ts off in 2 hours.. The whole situation makes my stomach have butterflies

To Chuck: I use many solid books and this book was supposed to be one of the upper tier starnets along with the wallstreet group who i also use and had no problems. Perhaps you are right and i have learned my lesson but please be less abrasive.

To Halifax: I have emailed several times. I have called support but i get some guy who does not know much who is just doing generic support for many starnet books.

The Line on Henin has moved from +130 +140 to +110 +112 which means alot of money is coming in on henin which could be good, or bad.. depending on the outcome of this.

I think they'd be willing to unvoid the bet now.

Looks to me like this bet was part of a scalp, which means it would have REALLY hurt if Clijsters had won.

Hi Shrink,

Thank you for your help i will email you now. Does anyone know the generals email as RPM said i would hear from him. Or should i not bother him?

AOGaming is saying that since my FIELD Bet had already lost they would not void it but since my clijsters bet was in the finals they still had the right to void it. It was a win win situation for the casino as if clijsters lost before that they wouldn't have voided either. It ended up working out since clijsters lost but the principle lies in that they need to void my field bet as well.

General - have left several e-mails for her and my phone number but never heard back from her. Also wrote a letter to AO as sort of a feeler but she never contacted me again.

Don't know if it is resolved or she just decided to move on. Let me know if you find out differently.

General, Patrick:

If you read closely what the situation was, you will see that, after the fact, the book voiding the bet worked out in his/her favour, since the bet would have been a losing bet anyway. That is probably why he/she is not pursuing this matter anymore.

Hal - I saw she said something about "principle" so was just trying to get an answer for her. What if next time the bet wins?

Frankly I was still piecing the time line and series of events together when I wrote her. Didn't realize the situation was actually a favorable one for her, that would explain it though.

actually she is still pursuing this i believe.

there was another losing wager that they DID NOT CANCEL. if they canceled the wager that still had a chance to win, then they should refund the losing wager that they kept active imo.

Why are people still playing with no name books? What is wrong with you people? When you have quite a few outs that are honest and have huge bank rolls, why get screwed?

It just doesn't make any sense to me.

If you goto a whore house you get ****ed.
If you goto a no name book you get ****ed.

#1 you want.
#2 you don't.

Any questions? Good, schools out.

Gringo, there are so many players on obscure boards around the Net who wager and see a banner on a site they like and assume the site is safe. I first used a book off of a site i have a lot of respect for. I figured if they were good enough for the board i was visiting, then they were good enough for me. I was wrong and had never heard of The Rx.com, so as long as books can find those obscure handicapping forums to advertise in then their will be players apt to sign up unknowing what they are getting into.

While the RX community gets on my nerves sometimes, ok most of the time, it does do one thing very well. That is, send players to the good outs. No one wants to find out the hard way when they request their payout that they are with a stiff joint.

Still, it seems amazing to me that people do not take the time to do a bit of research. The information is here for the taking. They sure seem to find us after the fact.

Patrick:

Don't get me wrong - I would love to hear the book's side of the story.

---------------------------------------

"I have a dozen or more gamblers on my AIM. I don't know alot about tennis so i talked to many of these about the dog value in these prices against serena winning it all. It sounds like a poor attempt by the book to implement the so-called "syndicate" rule. It would be very interesting to hear a full explanation from them on exactly how they justified this.

Depending on IP addresses, etc., there is a slight chance that the book has a legit case here, but even if they did, the timing of the bet voidance, and the "selective" voidance of only the bet that was still operable, makes the book look guilty at this point in time.
