Doug...i have firefox version 1.0 and IE version 6.0 and i have no problems...why dont you do this.....clear out your cache and cookies....and retry it....you have already done this but setting your security level at "default security level"......You might want to run spyware software to make sure your pc is not infected with spywares......

Also try firefox version 1.0 and nothing else.....i've heard of problems with other firefox version....Hope this helps....

Doug, I share your frustration, I had to close my account at Hollywood after trying absolutely everything to get it work right. I could log in on every computer besides my home one? Very very frustrating, wish I could say I found something that worked, but I did not. Yours is more frustrating I'm sure because you don't just discard Pinny as a book. Good Luck, let us know if and when you find a solution.

NETeller, Mansion and Pinnacle all load front page but you can't log in. Sure sounds like session cookies but from your comments could be a bizarre conflict. I'd try to get my ISP or NETeller to help me login to NETeller. I'd try Netscape. I'd restore to an early date delete temporary files and cookies. Then I'd admit defeat and reload my operating system.

Doug I dont know if this will help, but for the last 3 days I could not get into Pinnacle either unless I use the link on the RX banner. Thats the only way ive been able to get in the last 3 days for whatever reason.

Banner link doesn't do it for me. I'm leaning towards re-loading operating system or hiring one of those computer geek services ( I don't want to pay them, though). I'm not sure how to re-load system, but I'll get someone to help me.

I can't even use a different browser. Maybe Microsoft is doing it to me.

Any other ideas #1 cheat? I'm thinking he's probably at the point of doing the reload. I've seen IE get so screwed up, that's often the only option.

I'm actually not far from that point myself......but it has been 2 years, and by then, MS & Intel want you to buy a new machine.

Follow the money---they don't want this stuff to work forever. Hell, they probably sabotage it themselves with the updates. It makes perfect business sense.

Microsloth is unleashing a huge batch of their infamous critical patches today (april 12) so anything that works now, may not and vice versa......

Yeah, 8+ new ones depending on your operating system....

I've never been "badly" burnt by a MS security patch, but I'm in for at least a day of weekend testing (there is no reason to install them ASAP....the holes have existed up until now).

Wait a couple days & see if they find any issues-which they have previously.

By Thursday, it should be safe to install them with no worries.

That is your tech tip of the day courtesy of SBR TT :>Grin>

I know my computer sure ran better before I installed that service pack 2 crap about 3 months ago! I'm getting a new computer very soon anyway but I still wish I never installed that service pack 2.

Hitman, if it's causing you that much trouble, just try disabling the "internet connection firewall" in services.

It may help a TON if it's the problem.

Hitman... If you think thats the problem.. I hope you know that you can 'uninstall' that program anytime you want.. It will take your computer to the original state before you installed that sp2.

Doug, have you tried "RESTORING" or "REPAIRING" your IE?

Goto Control Panel and click Add Remove on IE a box will appear, first try repairing it, then try restoring to your previuos settings...

YOU can also completly delete IE it will revert to IE 4 I believe.

The only other thing I can think of. I heard Pinnacle blocks your IP address if you press refresh too often on your browser. If this is the case you must email Pinny to unlock you ip address. This has happened to several people on this forum in the past.
