I will find out tomorrow if I get drawn for Super Bowl Tix through the Cardinals. I would say I have a less than 10% chance. I believe the team is only getting about 15K tickets. People with seniority will have a better shot. I have had tickets for six seasons. I would say that puts me somewhere in the middle as far as seniority goes. So I dont like my chances.

Anyway, whats the best way to go about getting tickets? Ebay? Craigs List? Should I buy now or wait and try to get them from a scalper outside the stadium?

What should I look out for as far as scams? How much over face value is reasonable?

Any help is appreciated.

the closer you get to the game the cheaper the tix are. Now is the worst time to buy, with everyone scrambling.

Save your money, and go to Harold's in Cave Creek. I'll save you a seat.

If you do go, have fun and soak it all up.

May be one of the softest tickets in recent memory. Corporations really cutting back. I would hold out until the Friday before at the earliest.

Hub Arkush (Pro Football Weekly) was on the Chicago radio earlier today. He said the hotel business was very soft too. NFL was calling every day asking if they needed more rooms, unheard of. Commercial time just sold out last week too.

Right now things seem to be going crazy with the ticket prices. $800 face value seats are going routinely on Ebay, Stubhub, etc. for about $2000 a ticket.

Screw that. For that price I think Im going to just hang out outside the stadium and take my chances the day of the game.

This seems to be the advice I am hearing here.

YES. Everyone hears $2000+, so they think they can get it. All it does is drive the price down. Simple economics of supply and demand.

Coach,

I went to last year's SB in Glendale and I paid $3000 a seat for two tickets I bought from an NFL player. Those were 2nd level, 2nd row. The cheapest seats last year were about $2600 a pop on Stubhub and those were at the very top. I hope you get to go but I wouldn't count on getting anything for less than that $2000 but I hope you do.

Last year was the perfect storm. Two very public teams from big markets, the Pats going for the undefeated season, and the economy better than right now.

Remember the NFL just recently raised the face value of the Super Bowl tickets to $800-$900 per ticket compared to the $300 face value ticket that I received when Tampa played Oakland. So, right there the inflated face value of the ticket will send even a soft ticket price through the roof. Also, within the past two years, the state of Florida has made scalping tickets legal. Whereas before you could only sell that particular ticket for $1 over face value. So, even for a soft ticket I can see that the minimum price would have to be starting somewhere in the $1700.00 range. I will say this though, there is not a bad seat in the house at Raymond James. Good Luck!!!!

If anyone is coming to Tampa without a ticket, the best place imo to be would be the Channelside district. It is a complex that will be having alot of entertainment, Bud Bowl, St. Pete Times Fourm (2 hockey games, Eagles, Celine Dion and Dane Cook all in a five day period), NFL Hotel Headquarters, ESPN Sportscenter and the Convention Center all within a five minute walk. There should be alot of people within those areas as I believe that will be the most populated areas for those whom may not have party access throughout the bay area. If you do come to Tampa and people mention Ybor City, I would not recommend it as that area has fallen upon bad economic times and not as good as it used to be. So, with that being said, other than the stadium on gameday, Channelside, I believe will be heavily populated and one may have some luck to run into someone whom may have tickets.

LAst years ticket was a 900 on game day. This year tickets will be going for 1200 at most on game day and I think even less.

AMEN TO THAT!! If your down to even skip all of the fat, you can get tix almost 3/4 less thier face value just seconds after kickoff. Scalps just wanna bail and go home at that point. At that point is just a regular sold out game. Don't worry about the crowds. You'll make it to your seat just fine. (if the tix were legit)
